[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there. There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[Know who loves cats? This girl. Willow has just left the library and has a new book in hand but she is quickly distracted by kitty.]

Oh my gosh it's so cute!

[ lissa smiles easily, fingers moving over the cat's fur. ]

Thank you. I found him in Andres and I asked if he belonged to anyone, but it seems he was a stray.

[ so she catnapped him to act as her new friend. ]

His name is Oscar.

Well, hi Oscar. I'm Willow. [She steps closer and gives the cat's chin a scratch.]

Not so stray now, huh? Got a name and everything.

[ willow, you are the cutest. the cat tries to stretch out of the lissa's arms and attach himself to willow like no this new person is giving me attention now, ur dead to me, lis. ]

It just felt right, the name.

Oscar's a great name! Definitely gets a bad rep from the whole...grouch thing.

He is a little bit of a grouch, but he's mostly a sweetheart.

[ he just likes to bite her ankles when she doesn't get up fast enough to let him outside. ]

I've got some milk at the little place I'm staying at? If you think he might like a treat. Could make him... less grouchy in the future.

[ she's so glad the tenuous yay magic friendship they'd forged before is still a thing? so glad. she needs all the friends she can get tbh. ]

[Fast forward to them getting to Willow's room! She heads for the little fridge that she apparently has and grabs a bowl and some milk, pouring some into the bowl and setting it down.]

Here, kitty kitty... [She says urging him to come enjoy his treat.]

[ oscar is like WHAT FOR ME THIS IS GREAT and pads forward and just shoves his face in it like a fucking heathen demon cat monster.

which prompts lissa to laugh. ]

[Willow just grins.]

Aww, he likes it!

That might be an understatement, really.

I'm so okay with being your milk dealer for this little guy.

I certainly don't think he'll mind.

[Willow just grins and settles in for some kitten hang outs.]

Are you going to take him back to the castle?

I'm not sure. I'm worried he might belong to someone and they'll come looking for him. I don't want to steal someone's cat.

We could put up posters? And if no one claims him, then it seems pretty fair to give him a good home, right?

[Oh no she's attached.]

[ lissa smiles gratefully, like she just needed someone to give her a viable way of keeping the cat guilt free and willow just handed it to her. ]

That sounds perfect. [ a beat. ] Now we just need him to hold still and look handsome for a photo...

We can totally do that! I could hold him if you want? So you can take the best picture?

Sure! [ she smiles and digs around to pull out her phone. ]

[While she preps the phone, Willow interrupts the magical milk experience to pick up Oscar and find a chair to sit with him and try to position him for an optimal cute picture-itude.]

[ so lissa is apparently horrible at taking pictures?? so snap goes the flash and then lissa glances down at it like OH.

/IMMEDIATELY ERASES. ] Let's try that again, shall we?

Maybe I should take it? You're way more photogenic, probably.

[ oh no, this won't do. she shakes her head, blonde curls bouncing across her shoulders cheerfully. ]

No, no, you're lovely. I think I only messed up the settings. Let me try again.

[ she waits for willow to get set up again and this time she isn't complete trash at taking pictures. (craft: visual arts 18) ]

[Willow does her best to pose with the cat, and... hey! much better.]

Great! Now we can make a flier and get them printed out to hang around town.
