Something like that. [ she smirks ] He's growing more famous by the day. It isn't as if he doesn't have his fair share of distractions that go hand in hand with the life he's leading.

You didn't really answer mine either. [He looks over at her.] Look, just cause I'm bloody defending you doesn't mean I'm not mad. You've done a whole lot of lying to the people that are supposed to be your friends.

And I'm sorry that that number included you. Is that what you want to hear?

Are you just saying it because you think it's what I want to hear?

In all the time you've known me, how often have I gone out of my way to try and make someone feel better if I didn't actually care?

It's not the caring I'm worried about, pet. [That much, he believes. She made it very clear she doesn't give a damn about most people in her letter, and just as clear he wasn't most people. It's just that caring might not be enough.]

[Even if half the team would say that's because he's a bloody idiot that's blinded by his own emotions. But his gut tells him he can trust her, and his gut has... well, all right, his gut has led him wrong plenty, but he's still pretty sure Dumage is on the level.]

When has anything ever gotten resolved with our team talking to one another? We can barely decide on where to order dinner from. When it comes to anything remotely important, they'll argue about it for years before they land on anything.
