[To her credit, she doesn't sounds like she thinks it's funny or even particularly weird.]

[Since that means she's had to deal with that, too. She'd be able to relate if she...actually remembered her parents.]

Though I suppose I can understand why he'd lie about something like that. I imagine he was only trying to protect you.

[Her tone of voice indicates that she has mixed feelings on how she actually feels about that, though.]

I don't need protecting, I need my brother. [ and tbh she'd never been kidnapped before ollie was starling city's vigilante, his "protecting" her only put her in more danger. ] He lied to me and he kept lying to me here.

Which seems silly considering the kind of organization this is.

[They're practically vigilantes without the masks, most of the time.]

I would imagine that if there is a way to track through our phones, he's either found a way to turn it off or he's conveniently left it behind somewhere. If he left voluntarily, I'm guessing he probably doesn't want to be found.

[ which is the exact pinpoint of her anger, a fragile mask over what is really just sadness. the castle was attacked and instead of checking on her, his family, he fucked off to who knows where and abandoned her.

[That's the most important part, in her opinion.]

When he comes back to you, and I'm guessing he will at some point, demand the truth and try to understand why he made his choices. Then you can decide whether you should be angry and if you want to forgive him or not.

[She reaches out to her, gently squeezing her shoulder.]

I'm sorry that he hurt you.

[ the touch, kind as it is, snaps thea out of her wallowing, packing away her unhappiness. it's not the first time she's been abandoned and the way her life goes it certainly won't be the last. ]

Yeah. [ her smile is weak. ] I'm glad you're okay.

I'm sorry I worried you.

[She releases her, hesitates briefly, before she says:]

I won't be around the Castle for awhile, but I'll be reachable. You can call me anytime. [Her smile isn't forced, but it is sad.] Maybe we'll get lucky and I'll run into your brother so I can send him back where he belongs.

Thanks. If you want to punch him in the face first, I wouldn't mind. [ a beat. ] Where are you headed?

[She smiles wryly at that.]

[Then there's a gentle shrug of her shoulders.]

I haven't quite decided yet, though a friend suggested I head to New York first.

Solid choice, though I've never been. [ lbr walter probably imagined thea in nyc's bar scene and was like ABORT ABORT. nah let's stay home. fuck rockefeller. ] Bring me back something shiny?
