Well, if you think you remember this thing more than missing it, I may need a hand or two fixing her. Half the systems are fried.

[ BB-8, free from the ship now, rolled around a bit to let his sensors take in the new surroundings and running the landscape against the pieces of his data banks that had not been compromised. When he couldn't find a match, he whistled nervously and stayed close to Poe as he hopped down to the ground and the others nearby ]

Alright, so explain to me what this Veil is, cause I do remember being in hyperspace and then getting hit by some kind of electric blast. That what this Veil is?

[ Gaz is still shaking her head. Don't get her wrong, she's grateful for the explanation, but if she hadn't seen it crash with her own eyes, she never would have believed this thing could fly. Plus, she still doesn't trust the rolling metal ball construct... ]

Yeah, flashes of lightning then suddenly you're somewhere you weren't a second ago, and you don't know how you got there or where exactly you were before?

Yeah, pretty much.

[She nods in agreement.]

Yep. That sounds like the Veil.

A lot of the people that live here had the same thing happen to them. Honestly, you're lucky this is where you crashed.

[he nods, and looks at the half demolished place]

And that I crashed on the lawn. I don't think your temple could take too many more crashes.

[She steps back and looks things over.]

Will it be safe to sit here? It's not ... overheating or anything?

[ with a repair check of 22, jaina has been looking over the ship anyway this whole time ] It doesn't look like it's about to blow or anything. It should be safe here until we can haul it somewhere to work on it.

[Poe licked his lips a moment because while the natives were friendly, it was his ship. His baby. But he nodded.]

Alright. Let me just grab my gear since I've got a feeling I'm going to be crashing here a few days at least.

[and he's going to easily haul himself back up into the wing with a chin lift on the s-foil and then walking back to his cockpit to bend over and rummage around to look for his crash bag.]

[ jaina is just standing next to miles, staring at the x-wing like it's a ghost tbh, as if she can will herself to remember more just by looking at this thing that feels so damn familiar to her ]

[Malina nods as she waits, watching Jania curiously, but not wanting to interrupt her focus. The Veil can mess with a lot of things - maybe this might help her put some stuff together.]

[BB-8 is going to roll over to the women and whistle sweetly at them as his head falls back to look up. Excuse his master for being rude and not introducing him. He was obviously the cuter of the pair.

A minute later Poe had his bag over his shoulder, some of his flight gear in the ship and a later jacket on. He keys for the cockpit to close, and then jumped back down.]

Alright, shall we?

[Malina nods and they will shuffle their way back into the castle proper. Probably to the kitchen, because this talk was going to need snacks.]

[ Gaz follows. She's been there long enough to sort of know her way around, but she's still new enough that she doesn't want to lead the way. ]

[Poe will just follow, BB-8 on his heels. The little droid is spinning his head around, trying to take everything in as he's mapping it in his imaging core.]

[Yep, right to the kitchen where she will sit them down and go to find some snacks.]

Okay. Let's start with the basics - you are in the country of England on the plant Earth. The Veil is kind of this ... metaphyiscal tear in the universe. Of sorts. Sometimes things and occasionally people fall through it.

Okay. So weird black hole wormhole type thing.

A portal.

[ wtf is a worm hole? There are no worms in a lightning storm. ]

Little of both, actually. Or ... they're both words for the same thing.

[Just to clear up the terminology that they're both using.]

We call it the Veil. Originally, we thought it was just the barrier that existed between our world here and the Shadow World, but recently it's started pulling people from all different worlds.

[newgenwraith]

[Poe nodded, and looked down at BB-8 to see if he was getting all this before both he and the droid looked up at Malina.]

Shadow World...?

That's what the people here called it at first, because people from there seemed to appear out of the shadows. But we later learned that it was a place called Faerun.

[farmgirlfighter]

[ At the mention of Faerûn, Gaz sits up a little straighter, finally invested in the conversation. ]

So first, this Veil brought people here from Faerûn, but now it's bringing people from gods know where?
