[A garbled, static-filled transmission, encoded in a Shadow language, has made its way to the Knights attention, seemingly linked to a series of similar transmissions last year.  Equipped with a decoding program by the Dragon's Hoard, the Knights head to a set of railroad tracks that were mentioned, to try to see what this is all about... ]

[Dipper takes a few steps to get next to Mabel when he sees the hummer, putting a hand on her arm.]

Maybe later. We've got our hummer. Now we've gotta find our hummer stopping friends.

[He squints into the darkness, hoping to find just that (spot 17).]

[ well, that would be alice. the second she sees the car, she rushes forward, arms waving like she's trying to flag the car down, voice rising as she calls out to them. ]

Hey! Yo! Can you pull over a second?! We need help!

[ look, running directly into danger is her thing. she's not a smart hero for a reason. ]

[mabeljuice]

[Mabel just tosses an entire pack of gum Deryn's way as she digs into her bag and produces a set of brass knuckles that look like they've been spraypainted pink and coated with glitter that seems to be coming off in patches, and sighs deeply.]

This is gonna get sooooo ugly. [mostly said to Dipper.]

[Yeah even, Frankie is brushing the gun at her side just in case this turns south.]

[Dipper stares after Alice in disbelief, then pulls his stungun from his jacket pocket.]

Do you people know how to do the secret part of secret organization? How am I the only person who's caught on?

[But if she's going to make a spectacle of herself, Dipper can at least take advantage to try and get closer without being seen (move silently 18, hide 15).]

Catching the gum he fishes out a peice and slipping the pack into his jacket pocket so he could slip on his own brass knuckles and quietly move to stand next to Frankie. He looked around to see if he could see anything else around besides the car. (Dark Vision 17, spot 19) Like the rest he was expecting shit to hit the fan.]

[ none of them see any sign of anything coming to stop the hummer, but it does reluctantly slow when alice threatens to get in its way. the windows are tinted, but the passenger window is rolled down just slightly to reveal... a familiar fucking face for her. specifically the face of this man, who looks just as surprised to see her. ]

... The hell are you doing here?

Hi! [ out of sheer surprise, her expression brightens like "i know you!!!!" but then she remembers that day in vivid technicolor and immediately looks horrified because she tased this man. ] Oh god, I am so sorry about before. But this is... do you think I could explain?

[Realizing there's recognition between Alice and the stranger, Frankie tenses, hand hovering over her hip, readying an action to pull her weapon and aim it at the man should he make any threatening moves towards Alice, but otherwise remaining silent until she can see where this is going.]

[....huh. She knows the person in the hummer. That's unexpected, and Dipper isn't quite sure what to make of it. At least it seems like it's unexpected to her too, which means this probably isn't all a trick to get him and Mabel to help out the bad guys. Probably.]

[mabeljuice]

[Mabel saunters up behind her brother with her hands conveniently behind her back to conceal her sparkly brass knuckles. nothing to see here, mr. hummer. as an aside to her brother, she says:] Friends should really keep friends from buying eyesores for vehicles.

[since they seem to know each other. or something. this is getting extra dramatic.]

[ well he doesn't look fucking happy to see you alice.

he turns away from her to say to the guy in the other seat. ] Keep fucking going. [ NO TIME FOR YOU AND YOUR TASER NONSENSE. ]

No, wait, you have to stop! [ her voice pitches up with urgency, curling her fingers around the edge of the window. ] Remember that BunBun, did you ever figure out why you really needed it? Because unless you wanted a spy cam in your boss's nephew's bedroom, we did you a favor... probably more violent than it could have been. Which I am sorry for!

[Annnnd just in case the Hummer decides to try and take off, Frankie is going to move in closer and lay her hand against the side of the vehicle. Readying an action to stall the engine using her vehicle empathy should the driver try to accelerate. (Disable Device Nat 20)]

[Dipper exhales, glancing over at Mabel.]

This is a mess. [He slides his weapon back into his pocket and stands up. Time to do something stupid. He holds up his hands and walks over to the other side of the car.]

Hey, not to interrupt this really touching reunion you're having, but as someone entirely unaffiliated with her [He juts his head towards Alice] I was hoping we could talk for a moment? It might be important. [Diplomacy nat 20 (27 total).]

[ Deryn was watching the goings on, his arms crossed standing not far from the twins with the brass knuckles already on.]

[ He opened his mouth to speak but Dipper was already stepping into action so he finally uncrossed his arms and pulled the pack of gum out of his pocket got the peice and handing the pack back Mabel's way.] Thank you.

[ the guy in the driver's seat lowers his window beside dipper and pulls up his sunglasses to look him over.



he reaches over to swat at the blonde guy in the passenger seat, speaking in a pronounced russian accent. ]

Whoa, whoa, Jamie, give it a rest a sec.

[ and to dipper: ] What's goin' on?

[Dipper considers lying for a heart beat before he remembers he's awful at lies, so he just goes with the truth. Or most of it. He figures he can hold off on too many details until he knows more of the details.]

We got a mysterious message warning us you'd be coming. What brought you here?

[ he looks skeptical about that, slinging his elbow up on the window's ledge ] I'm scouting locations for my next film. You might have heard of me? Darryl Brzezinski? [ knowledge pop culture checks of 18+ might recognize the name as being attached to several big studio films... a 25+ would know he started out as a big name in indie movies, but his last few movies have been bizarre horror films of questionable worth... ]

[ lmao alice's nat 20 equals her mouth falling open, still clinging to jamie's window like a stubborn mule. ]

[Welp. With a Crit Fail on her knowledge check, Frankie actually thinks that Darryl Brzezinski is in fact an infamous pornstar and is presently staring at Alice like. Whut.]

[Dipper's check of 21 means that he knows the name but... doesn't care that much. He probably enjoyed the bizarre horror films more than the actual good stuff. However, Dipper can't help but be suspicious. Making a movie doesn't seem like a particularly conspiracy worthy reason to be hanging around train tracks, so instead of looking impressed, he squints at Darryl, trying to figure out what he's not telling them (SM 20).]

[ with her nat 20, alice would know that his later works have been so out there, that certain critics have begun questioning his sanity, tbh. she would also know that he became a director because he became entranced by hollywood films smuggled into his home country when he was a boy and that he graduated from ucla.

she's also... read internet rumors that he's connected with the russian mob, so there's that.

dipper doesn't get the sense that he's especially hiding anything, but he does look a little nervous about this situation. he addresses alice, however, at the obvious recognition. ] Look, I'm a busy guy. You want a quick autograph or something, and then we can get on here?

[mabel, figuring the longer they keep them stalled AWAY FROM THE TRACKS, the happier life will be, suddenly yells:] YES! In fact, we should all get autographs. Every one of us.

[ alice ignores mabel for right now, giving darryl a shy smile, cheeks turning bright pink at the prospect. ] That would be amazing. I started watching your movies when I read that story about how you got into directing, it was so sweet. I wanna get the pen outta my purse, but I also don't want Jamie to punch me in the face, which... to be fair he totally deserves to do.

[ she glances at the bodyguard awkwardly, repeating her refrain of, ] I am so sorry.

[ this is fine. it might be the mob, but it's fine. totally fine. ]
