[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[Spike lets go of the door and draws his own gun. Thanks for letting them in on that trick, Gar, because I'm not sure he'd have made the connection on his own. He raises the gun and aims it (atk nat 20, dmg 7).]

the wraith tries to grab myri this time because she's right on top of it still (melee touch attack 24). its finger curl around her wrist, ice cold, and she'd feel herself weakening under its grasp... but she fights it off x( 6 negative energy damage at least. ]

Those guns seem to be about as effective as they look. Though, notably, still more useful than D's.

[Though the wraith does hurt her, feeling herself being able to fight off that draining feeling seems to bolster her to push forward and attack again with her magic. Ignoring Buffy's insistence to get behind her, and the fact that bullets are whizzing past her to try to hit the wraith, Myri twists her wrist to grab onto the wraith's wrist as well. She pushes another blast of healing energy at the creature (cure moderate, melee touch attack 26, damage 23).]

[ the wraith howls in anger as the light pulses through it, and gar levels another shot using exploit weakness (atk 24), but her attack passes right through its head 8( ] Oh dear...

[ Moving to the door, Buffy reaches out to wrench it open and

crit fails her strength check. Her attempts to yank the door open actually tug at her shoulder and she staggers closer to it. ]

[Spike fires off a shot that goes nowhere near (atk 9), then yanks the door open (str 19 action point says str 24 just in case).]

[Des tries to shoot the wraith, but... critfails, and whatever happens when that... happens makes him back up five feet away from the cell. SORRY IF HE SHOT ANYONE...

[ spike and archer hold the door, and mark hisses against the bullet from des, glancing at him with an irritated, betrayed expression. REALLY DUDE. sigh. ] Myri! Get out of there! [ she's not looking too great. he's gonna fire anyway.

[She should leave. She knows she should. She can feel herself barely hanging on. But she is hanging on. She's still fighting and she knows that her magic can do more than so many of the others. They have been the ones to save her from danger like this so many times. But this time? This time it's the power within her that drives this creature back, that hurts it so deeply that they have a fighting chance.

With all of them, each one of them (yes, even you, Archer) in mind, she grits her teeth and calls on her power, her gift, her last chance. (cure serious wounds, melee touch attack nat 20, 62 damage).]

[ myri's energy courses through the ghost and she'd see most of it evaporating away as it shrieks horribly, light spilling out of it here and there. gar takes aim and unleashes another shot - atk 32 - 4 for no precise shot = 28. 5 dmg if... it hit. which it doesn't. yeahhh miss chance B) ] This blasted thing won't stop!

[ It's really hard for Buffy the Vampire Slayer to accept that the men have to pull the door open and do the heavy lifting for her but she's just going to let them do it, back out of the cage, and level her gun at the wraith, firing off a shot. And pray (atk 29-4 = 25, dmg 6). Also pray. ]

[ and with a 100% hit, buffy's six dmg is exactly what was needed

to kill the wraith entirely. it dissolves in a puff of black frigid wind, leaving the cell void of the haunted feeling that had once overtaken it. ]

[With nothing holding her wrist and nothing to hold onto, Myri collapses to the cell floor as the wraith dissipates. She's alive- so very weak, but alive. They all are.]

[ baCK IN THE CELL, EXCUSE.

Buffy tucks her gun into the back of her pants again, crouching beside Myri. She loops her friend's arm around her shoulders, pulling her to her feet and swiping her axe off the ground in the process to make sure it comes with them. ]

It's okay. It's over. [ Leading her out of the cell, she adds; ] Vi's flowers?

Here. [Des holsters his gun and helps Myri get her bag off to pass it over to Buffy and proceeds to scoop her up in his arms. Our little hero needs to be carried for a bit, okay. It's adorable.]

[ meanwhile, a very relieved gar has holstered her weapon, and scrubbed her face with a hand as she turns away with a sigh, trying to calm herself down...

and she stops. staring across the hallway into another cell, at a figure huddled up in the corner. she takes a few steps that way, bewilderment written on her features as her mouth drops open. ] Is that--

[ Buffy follows her gaze up, taking a break from fumbling through Myri's bag. She passes the bag off to Spike to keep rifling through, then takes a few wary steps in the direction of the next cell because barreling in didn't work well for anyone last time. Spot 27?? ]

... Hey. [ Here's hoping who or whatever it is speaks English and is friendly ??? ]

[he would have lovingly taken myri into his arms but everyone else already did that so ... he takes her bag before spike can hurt himself on healing roses. THOSE WILL HURT U DUMMY. he is literally holding his girlfriend's purse rn. a+ fiance material.
