[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! [Alcide hasn't really been a staple around the castle for some time now—even before his extended stay on Andres to help out with the relief effort. All of the skill points pumped into knowledge: architecture and engineering had to be good for something, right? It only made sense for him to be where he could be best utilized, even if it meant sticking around to lend his expertise and off-set a lot of the destruction that had occurred in liberating the island nation.

That said, it's not likely that people would recognize him for anything outside of the battle on Andres itself unless they knew him from a few years before, or if they happened to run into him during the short window where he'd returned to prepare for battle. Either way, it's probably hard to miss the six foot five inches of jeans and flannel that had recently returned to London, especially since he didn't tend to venture outside the castle grounds much without good reason. There was a reason he'd asked to be assigned around the United States after being knighted ok.

For the most part, Alcide is usually sitting at one of the bars nursing a bottle of beer and listening to country music, or out running the grounds during later hours (although there is markedly less flannel and more white fur during those times). Even during special events, he doesn't tend to dress up much, so if there is ever anything going on where people usually class it up like the monthly squiring ceremony, he likely sticks out like a redneck at the opera or something.]

[ thea's "working" in one of the bars when all the country music finally gets to be too much for her delicate ears and she abruptly changes the station, putting her hands on the bar in front of alcide. she doesn't put it on house/techno so you're welcome for that, it's like the oldies station. the beatles are playing. ]

[The werewolf thing didn't help him to feel a buzz any faster either. Still, there was something to be said for relaxing with a cold beer, even if you were cramped up in some corner of a bar located smack in the middle of a castle in England of all places.

He doesn't seem to mind the switch. Apparently he wasn't married to the cheap stuff, which meant it was probably more force of habit than anything.]

Probably shouldn't, but last time I was here there was a lack of pretty servers to keep me from making poor choices.

[There is one person, at least, who is happy to see him.

She never realized how stressful being one of the more experienced werewolves in the castle could be until she started juggling a baby beta, a confused and conflicted werecoyote and ... Lan. Though she's made definite progress on the Lan front, there's a bit of relief that comes with the idea that there's someone older and equally experienced (if not more so) around, even if it's only for a little while.

(She knows she's capable and handling it well, for the record. But sometimes she still feels like a kid and needs someone to be the adult, even if it's only for five minutes.)

So when she catches his scent, she will follow it to whatever bar he happens to be hanging in at the time (survival 23). She then slides up on the stool next to him with a small smile.]
