[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. [Neal has been working on his magic, trying to work on feeling in control. He's terrified of it still, worried that if he stops being afraid of the magic, that he'll let it take over without meaning to. Of anything in this world, he's most afraid of that.

But with a slightly better attitude about magic, he feels as though he can at least take a small amount of time to just enjoy this giant castle. So he'll be exploring a bit more. He might even make his way to the bowling alley.

Oh and he might actually finally call Max like Wynn told him too...]

[Killian's been mostly focused on Emma, but after sundown she's not exactly easy to hang out with. Sure, he's a pirate and they could conceivably hang out with him on his boat, but she's not exactly in a sociable mood. So he's exploring too, and tonight, he's come across a part of the castle he hasn't explored before. A part of the castle he doesn't understand.

A part that apparently requires completely different shoes and giant balls with holes in them.

Killian's expression brightens when Neal approaches.]

Baelfire! Do you understand this... sport?

I don't know if I'd call it a sport, but... yeah. [Sorry, professional bowlers of the universe.] I can show you, if you want.

[It's still pretty awkward, but he's getting used to the idea of Hook being firmly in the good guy category and... fucking mentoring his son.]

[Killian looks pleased. Reconnecting with Baelfire is certainly worth attempting this strange game, but he also still looks confused.]

Why does it need different shoes? You aren't even kicking the ball.

Something to do with the lanes. But I'm pretty sure no one is going to check to make sure you wore the right shoes. I won't sell you out.

I don't mind changing my shoes, I just don't understand. [So much in this world he doesn't understand. He holds up his left hand.] Still, I'd wager I'm better off at this game than I'd have been a few months ago.

[He snorts a small laugh.]

Yeah, probably. [Does he know how that came about? Hell if I remember.]

I can show you how to play. It can be pretty fun.

[ SUP MAX might actually answer his phone maybe. sometimes. it might take a couple tries. ] ... Hello?

Hey. [Silence] Max? I, uh- my name is Neal. Wynn told me to call you. Said you might be able to help me.

He did, did he. [ (UNSURE) ] With what, exactly?

Magic? [Did he actually say that? Neal's not sure.] I uh- sort of came into some dark magic suddenly and I'm having trouble getting a handle on it. He said you might know something about that sort of thing.

[Or he suggested Neal talk to Max and Neal assumed the rest.]

Magic's not really my area. ... Dark powers, I guess, might be more appropriate.

I'm wondering if maybe this isn't something we want to talk about over the phone. Have time to meet me somewhere?

[ meanwhile, regina sure isn't in the bowling alley, but if he's actually working on his magic, he might find her in the dragon's fire training wing. living up to the name, by hurling a fireball at a training dummy across the room, and watching it smolder with a look on her face that is enjoying this way too much. ]

Nice shot. [He comments from the other side of the room. He's been less inclined to approach Regina, especially once he realized she had no idea who he was. But if they're both going to be here, he might as well see just how much of Regina is here and how much is the Evil Queen.]

[ regina didn't seem to realize that she wasn't alone, and she turns back to regard neal with that little smirk still lingering on her face, the flames still licking the dummy behind her. ] It was, wasn't it? [ were u expecting modesty idk ]

[The small smile on his face grows at her response, a slight shake of his head following. Some things never change. Regina's attitude is just one of them. He didn't know her well, but he saw enough to catch on to that much.]

So- how much do you remember? From before.

Why do you ask? [ she's instantly on edge from the question, casting him a look ]

I'm trying to figure out where all of us are. So far, it seems like I've got the most memories of what it was like on the other side.

[Some people work on their magic, others - namely Kenzi - work on their average. In bowling. To be honest, it's safer than the alternative.

With a Dex 16 + Str 10... at least she doesn't completely suck as she releases the ball and watches it sail down the lane to knock out most of the pins. The reaction she offers up however? You'd think she'd just gotten a strike, what with the jumping and the hands in the air.]

Nice shot. [He says with a small laugh as he looks over at kenzi and her little dance.] I can't wait to see what happens if you pick up the spare.

If by pick up you mean, walk on down there and kick the little feckers over? [Cause that's about the only way she'd be getting that spare.] I consider it a success when pins get knocked over. Even if its just one. I'm more a pool shark than an alley shark.

Yeah? Does this place have a pool table too? Oh wait- they call it billiards here, right?

[He doesn't know how to England.]
