He'd be lying if he said he weren't a little nervous, but he's going to see this through. He can't take the chance that he'll hurt someone on accident by not figuring out how to control his abilities.]

[Be surprised that she's shown up. Though, anyone is welcome to try and fill her duties. She'd be SHOCKED if anyone can do what she does, I mean, have you seen what she does all day?? It's very taxing. Very stressful. Very work. Much busy.

[By now, most of the castle knows what happened- or at least in bits and pieces. Finnick's condition hasn't improved, hasn't budged since their return. Myri had tried to give him space, but her heart couldn't take the idea of staying so far from him, and so she started to see him. At first, she kept things brief, but there were days when she felt like she had to try to get through to him. She felt like she was failing him for not doing more.

Pressing him to remember only made him panic, though, lost in memories of a life she wanted to protect him from. And one day she pushed too far and caused him to snap. He spoke of things that didn't entirely make sense to her, people she didn't know, things she's never seen. To anyone that asks, she insists that he never meant to hurt her, never really meant any of it, but a wild swing of his arm had caused her to stumble back. She lost her footing and fell. Luckily, the baby appears to be unharmed, but her wrist was broken by the fall.

After that, Wynn decided that it was best for Finnick to be removed from the castle, to be kept somewhere where his troubled mind could heal in peace. Or at least that's what Myri can only hope for him at this point.

She doesn't speak much to anyone in the days after he leaves, keeps herself locked in her room, feeling a mixture of guilt and grief that she can't cope with. If she had left him alone, none of this would have happened. The idea of facing any of her friends and risk seeing them feel similarly makes her chest tighten with fear.

Eventually, she emerges again, but remains quiet, the light dimmed in her eyes. It's hard not to feel now that she's lost her husband entirely, hard not to wonder if anything will bring him back to her. She's more of a ghost within the castle than anything else, moving as if she doesn't really know where she is, replaying the events in her mind, wondering about what could have done differently.]

[ Once news spread of Finnick's departure from the castle, Buffy refused to accept Myri's self-imposed isolation. In the days following, she forced her way into Myri's room in much the same way Myri had tried to force her way back into Finnick's mind. Seeing the brace around her wrist to support the healing done by the Dragon's Light, Buffy felt her expression crumple. She made her way over to her friend and, without a word, pulled her into a hug that was made only slightly awkward by navigating around the bump of Finnick's child in her abdomen. ]

I heard. [ She whispered in a quiet, apologetic voice, all mourning and understanding. ]

[ Late in April, when the Guadalajara team returned from their mission, they brought a couple of strays along with them. More excitingly, they brought a spaceship, but ever since, there's been a short, dark-haired girl in converse and jeans thumping around the castle on the hunt for everything she can learn about it.

She made her way systemically through each public room, each wing, questioning the Knights she found there as if she were eager to get to know every single person staying there. Any time she found a knight to accost, the questions played out pretty much the same: ] So how long have you been here?

[ skye is interrupting harry potter!! luckily vi knows them by heart so she doesn't actually care, head tipping to look up at her like oh hi, you're a person i don't know, bright blue eyes sparkling with curiosity. skye's so lucky she gets to meet vi in spring when she is a vibrant bastion of sunshine and buoyancy and easy smiles. ]

It was two years March 1st. [ not that she keeps track or anything. ] Why, do I get an anniversary present? 'cause that would be awesome. I'll take a bouquet of cosmos any day.

[ As it turned out, Rafael’s tour ran straight through June, making it a no-brainer for Buffy to keep to Myri’s side throughout her pregnancy and well into the first weeks of her child’s life. It wasn’t until July that she disappeared to Italy for a weekend, and when she returned, she was hand-in-hand with an easily recognizable popstar.

Over the next few days, it was hard to miss the two together around the castle. In the kitchen, Buffy sat up on one of the stools, knife whittling away at a series of vegetables to help Rafael prepare orecchiette with mini chicken meatballs, because apparently that’s a thing.

Raf glances over to check her progress with a little smirk as he works, before glancing over his shoulder. “And you are certain no one is going to walk in and kick me out at any time, carina?” he teases. ]

Well, if they do, all the Amazon boxes get stacked in back, so we could probably find you a pretty nice street corner in London not too far away. [ Cheekily, she grins up at him, as if her positive spin on his potential homelessness will ?? Make it better ? ?? Yes.

That draws a chuckle from him, and he goes to idk put some of the stuff in a pot, do I look like I know anything about cooking despite repeatedly playing master chefs? “Perhaps what I need is a disguise, no?”

Looking up at him, Buffy scrunches her nose, staying the movements of her knife as she tries to imagine a plethora of disguises. Judging by the arch of her eyebrow, those possibilities range everywhere from clown to cowboy. ] I mean, we’ve got dressing rooms with all kinds of plate armor for the knighting ceremonies. Put on one of those helmets, and I don’t think anybody would recognize you. [ He pulls a face at her, just as someone walks in to hear all that. ]

And he's... achieved a wardrobe update, and I'm not painstakingly describing clothes, but y'all have known him for years and he always wears the same thing. IT WAS IMPORTANT TO NOTE.]

The average bowling ball weighs more than Rocket does, but so do his guns, so hefts a decently sized one off the rack and carries it over to the end of the lane. And then leans on it. Is he the type to hurl this bitch at Quill's legs if he says something that might piss him off.

[By this point, Liam has more or less adjusted to his new life living in a freakin' castle where the only person that remembers him from Beacon Hills happens to be just as maladjusted as himself. It's not such a bad deal as long as he doesn't dwell on the people that he missed from back home, which probably still happened a little more than he'd care to admit--but that was normal for anyone, especially a kid. Plus he'd made a bunch of new friends, which helped a little bit whenever he felt homesick.

But he's still a teenaged boy, so when Cora and Dr. Sweets weren't helping him to learn control in their own ways, and when Faith wasn't helping him to be even more badass than he already was (because let's face it, being a werewolf was kind of awesome when it didn't completely suck), he is usually holed up in one of the public areas playing video games. Like right now, he's just taken over whatever console happens to be lying around to put in some time with Street Fighter IV because that's popular with the kids today rite.

Come challenge him to a match or bring him some food and drink because uh, people can forget to do that when they play not that I would know ok js. >___>]

[Baal had arrived with Felicity only a week prior , so he was still getting used to the grounds. He was waiting to be squired into the knights and because of that, he wasn't wandering too far from the doors of the castle. Old habits died hard, and he let himself wander silently, trying to gather the information he could about the castle and it's inhabitants.

He would stop when he saw people though, standing back and just listening. He didn't want to disturb others who knew each other so well, and sometimes the best information gathered was the words overheard freely among friends.]

[Says the very curvy woman who slides up next to him as he's watching a few people chatting a bit down the hallways.]

After returning from Guadalajara, Malina promptly takes herself to the Dragon's Light wing to get those bullet wounds taken care of and then she's off to check in with the usual suspects - those being Gus, Helen and her squire who she needed to work on spending some actual time with.

Beyond that, she can be found at her usual haunts - Dragon's Fire wing for all your magic and spell shenanigan needs, outside with her familiar, Harry, or more often than not, in the kitchen or the bar.

Starting middle of the month in June and stretching into the middle of July, food may start to appear in the fridge marked to not be touched under penalty of death, and she is not kidding. She herself doesn't hang out in the kitchen during the day and can be found instead in the library or TV room. She will reappear in the kitchen after the sun goes down, enjoying whatever particular culinary feast she had saved for herself that day.

She can be pretty much anywhere, anytime. Have at her.

There is a pirate in a bar. Imagine that? He had found the location in his travels on the first day as if instinct led the man to the rum. Which would be what he was drinking, mixed in with just a splash of pineapple juice to give it a bit of a flavor. Normally he would just drink it straight, but he wasn't looking to get lost in the alcohol. Just a bit to take off the edge of nerves he felt creeping up on him.

When the woman sat down across from him, he gave her a flirty smile and a nod in greeting before taking a sip of his drink. "The scenery just improved greatly with your presence here, my dear."

Sweets's office is a fairly small one in the Dragon's Light wing, but that's fine because he doesn't need a lot of space. There's a desk in one corner with a computer where he keeps his notes and records of the knights he's worked with, and he manages to keep it all pretty tidy.

In the main area of the room is a set of two chairs where he holds most of his sessions. He tries to keep a schedule of when people are coming in, and if he's with someone for a session, the door to his office will be closed, with a sign reading SESSION IN PROGRESS in front of it. Otherwise, his door is open, and you're free to see inside, which will sometimes occasionally include him "practicing" with a sword he may have gotten out of the training room.

He's actually getting better at that, thanks to Jordan, but he's still not the best at it.

Otherwise he can be found in the TV room, music room, and other various locations throughout the castle. Feel free to poke at him anytime.

So, somewhere in the intellect of the two of these kids they realized that they can't keep being burdened with all of the TRUTH of their lives and what the people who are supposed to know them don't know anymore and they have to tell someone before they accidentally slip and tell someone they shouldn't tell at all. From Allison Argent's fate to Peter Hale and his honest to goodness insanity and then adding in all of the stuff about Scott being a True Alpha and the fact that Derek isn't even a werewolf anymore... it's just a lot for the two of them.

This is why it's smart of them to figure out that they just need to tell someone that is sworn by some weird doctor oath not to tell other people. It's perfect.

At least, it should be perfect. Get it all out and then be done with it.

[ with april comes missions and kali's mission group brings home a friend and an alien that isn't an alien and a space ship and problem just entire crates of tequila because you don't go to mexico and come home without tequila, that is just sacrilegious. even kali knows that, and she was grew up in a lab for pete's sake!

it also brings a spate of sleeplessness that she combats with more time in the training room or firing range, but that calms as spring barrels headlong into summer and she keeps up her habits of trying to learn as much as she can about the real world -- david bowie and charmed and the entire collected works of alyssa milano.

and there's always shark week to look forward to! ever since alex took her to the aquarium and then showed her jaws (all of them probably, though not all at once), she's been obsessed with sharks. she wants a pet shark, but she also doesn't want to have to take care of a pet shark so she does not get a pet shark. when she's on a pet kick, though, sometimes she kidnaps nathan's lemur to have climbing races up the side of the castle. (she puts cheeseburgers on the roof to tempt him up, it's very handy.) ]

[ When Kali wakes up in the middle of the night, Skye lets out a whine, throwing one arm out this time and stopping her by the shoulder. She tosses over in bed to face Kali, sitting up fully and dropping her hand. ]

[The more time passes since the incident, the more relaxed Elena seems in the castle. If people are still talking about her, she doesn't seem to notice or particularly care.

Let's just say she's got her priorities straight and haters to the left.

She continues to spend a lot of time in the shooting range, alternating between her Excalibur and a compound long bow, though she can be found ready to hand-to-hand spar in the gym, nursing a cup of coffee in the kitchen after her morning run, or even writing in her journal in one of the common sitting areas.]

[Kate uses the firing range to get her thoughts in order, and after her trip to Manchester, she's certainly taking the time to even out her shot. She took a little too many hits for her taste and practicing her shooting helps to take the edge off, even if the wounds have been healed at this point.

She notices Elena shooting with the compound bow down the way, and she glances over with a smile, pushing her hearing protection off her ears as she makes her way closer.]

[ toward the end of her pregnancy, there isn't really much vi can do anymore. she finally, regrettably, has to put a kibosh on her swordplay in may when her belly just gets in the damn way, but pretty much up until labor she is fine in the shooting range, especially if she's with elena, helping her friend learns the tips and tricks of archery. it's exciting to finally have someone into it with her and she's always up for helping fred certify people to carry the excalibur.

the rest of her time is usually split between watching harry potter and gardening. she's just so ungainly, she doesn't want to do anything else if she doesn't have to, okay, and sitting in the garden making it look beautiful is soothing to her very damaged soul and very tired body. she's been pregnant for too long. YOU ARE EVICTED, CHILD. GET OUT.

her birthday passes without much fanfare, too tired to celebrate such an unimportant birthday. it would have been more important, another milestone in her short life, but apparently she's going to live forever. she doesn't want to get bored with birthdays. maybe she'll just celebrate every five years? and look, it's hard to celebrate milestones without her husband.

there are rare instances where you can catch him in the library, looking through some truly esoteric looking tomes.

one evening, you might even catch him attempting to reconstruct a picture of a quadruple decker cheeseburger he found online in the kitchen... the multi-layer monster toppling at the edge of the counter, as he turns around to get some extra mayo... and then splattering over onto the floor just as he glances back. ] Sonuvabitch.

[ Perhaps surprisingly to those who knew her in the past, Buffy spends a lot of time in the library, so she takes notice when she finds Dean lurking there for what must be the first time. She stops at his table, lowering some book she'd found about folk legends on demons, and raised an eyebrow at his reading material. ]

[ most people have gone years here without ever suspecting that wynn kept a secret elven mage in the basement, but vi not only uncovered that truth, but decided to make him her friend as well, whether he wanted it or not. jk, he's pretty into it. imagine wynn being your only company for like decades.

once in a while, she heads down to speak with him, since he still doesn't relish the idea of spending much time out and about on the grounds. ] It looks as though the child intends to arrive any day.

[ she sets her customary bouquet of fresh flowers on one of the shelves, eyes flickering absently to the orb she knows she's not allowed to touch, before landing on her new favorite elf. a soft smile brightens up her face, adding to her gentle spring glow as she reaches out to bring life back to some of the older blooms peppering the little basement dwelling. she will bring life and vitality to this place if it kills her. ] I'm just bored with it. It was exciting for a while, growing spleens and livers and brains, but that got old surprisingly fast.

[ Adjusting is a slow process, but it's happening. A lot of wandering has made getting lost a much rarer occurrence for Hawley these days, which is a relief, since he'd ended up in some strange places in the first few weeks after arriving.

But being left to his own devices for too long is never a good thing, so he starts looking for ways to occupy himself until someone decides to give him something productive to do. Surprisingly, he ferrets out the training room and the firing range on his own. It makes him miss some of his pieces from home, but he makes do with what's here, hoping maybe at some point he can find something like the collection he'd amassed for himself before being reality-kidnapped. And if he finds partners to spar or teach him in the training room? Even better.

Otherwise, he's likely to poke his nose in just about anywhere, lazing around the lounge with a book or hiding out with a computer somewhere trying to learn more about this world, or to see if there's any contacts he might be able to reform here, if there are names he recognizes as still in the business (no luck there, making his annoyance at alternate realities increase by the day). Evenings are usually spent in the bar, enjoying what company he finds, whether it's to flirt or to just joke around. He's always been a curious person with a thirst for knowledge, so being here in the center of it at least provides plenty of opportunities to sate that. And to potentially pester everyone around him with dozens of questions. ]

[Des's time in the castle is few and far between over the last few minutes, though he usually drops in by request and sticks around for a little while to catch up with the people here. There's a definite change in his personality- he seems much less gruff, and his sarcasm seems more friendly and jovial. There's a light in his eyes that wasn't there before that anyone close enough to him would probably pick up on.

If he's not specifically visiting with the people who called him here, he can be found on the shooting range, practicing with his gun, or in the lounge borrowing the TV for a few choice hours between visiting with old friends. He can also be found in the training room, practicing with some of the swords available, and... actually fucking rocking at it.]

NYC

[For those who want to drop in on Des and his hubby out of curiosity, the address he gave to his friends is about as far from his horrible Manhattan rathole as you can get. In fact, it's a very nice penthouse that looks like something that no one would expect Des to live in. You'll get to take the elevator through the fancy building all the way to the top. Yay!]

[ Buffy doesn't visit New York, but she does notice when he makes his way back to the castle intermittently. She stops in to see him at the shooting range, leaning against his divider with crossed arms and watching him empty the clip. Only when he's done does she announce herself. ]

[After some pre-gaming at the Castle, Elena meets up with everyone who decides to show at a swanky club out in London.

With a rocking disguise check of 42, she's smoking. She's also at the bar, bringing up a hand to cup the side of her mouth and help her shout.]

[ after his guadalajaran adventure, life for alex more or less goes back to business as usual. he spends a lot of time in the garage or out on the airfield. sometimes he drives out to london and isn’t seen for a day or two. just out and about. he also spends a fair amount of time at the firing range. and sometimes he is just around the castle taking random pictures of shit with his phone like a 20something girl with a facebook problem?????

[dante is still doing the same stuff he was doing when he came back to the castle in january — hanging out in the training room and sometimes at the old man bar late at night. sometimes he’s even in the library. around july, though, he basically starts camping out in the training room and like never leaves to the point that it might be vaguely concerning??????]

[Finding Andrew around the castle is pretty easy. He's usually in one of three places. His room, the computer lab, or the rec room. Surprisingly, he's actually hanging in the rec rooms more and more often, not burying himself in work or being secluded.

He can be found watching super cheesy horror movies or playing video games, usually. If he runs out of those, he finds something sci fi related on netflix to chill out with. He takes requests, though! And he's much more friendly these days thanks to being dopey in love and also having mild success on missions lately.]

[Bo tracks him down after one of her workout/sparring sessions in whatever rec room he's planted himself in, falling down into the seat next to him and looking up at the screen.]

[Alcide hasn't really been a staple around the castle for some time now—even before his extended stay on Andres to help out with the relief effort. All of the skill points pumped into knowledge: architecture and engineering had to be good for something, right? It only made sense for him to be where he could be best utilized, even if it meant sticking around to lend his expertise and off-set a lot of the destruction that had occurred in liberating the island nation.

That said, it's not likely that people would recognize him for anything outside of the battle on Andres itself unless they knew him from a few years before, or if they happened to run into him during the short window where he'd returned to prepare for battle. Either way, it's probably hard to miss the six foot five inches of jeans and flannel that had recently returned to London, especially since he didn't tend to venture outside the castle grounds much without good reason. There was a reason he'd asked to be assigned around the United States after being knighted ok.

For the most part, Alcide is usually sitting at one of the bars nursing a bottle of beer and listening to country music, or out running the grounds during later hours (although there is markedly less flannel and more white fur during those times). Even during special events, he doesn't tend to dress up much, so if there is ever anything going on where people usually class it up like the monthly squiring ceremony, he likely sticks out like a redneck at the opera or something.]

[ thea's "working" in one of the bars when all the country music finally gets to be too much for her delicate ears and she abruptly changes the station, putting her hands on the bar in front of alcide. she doesn't put it on house/techno so you're welcome for that, it's like the oldies station. the beatles are playing. ]

[Faye is still focusing most of her time on trying to find fucking Gold. She's not really sure how long it will take glados to sort her shit out, but in the meantime, she's researching location spells and anything else she can think of. She's not above breaking into Gold's room either, to be completely honest. It's for his own good.

When she's not knee deep in her own research, she's lounging in her room and irritated that Lila is perpetually on super long missions because what the fucking fuck come home already. Otherwise, she's probably practicing her own magic with her familiar basically anywhere in the castle she damn well feels like it. Enjoy the random fireball.]

[ AGAINST HIS BETTER JUDGEMENT, gus takes it upon himself to check on faye when he notices she's been spending a shit load of time in the special collections in the main library and more in the dragon's fire library. what are you doing, kiddo?
