[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

It's fine, don't worry about it. [ which he genuinely seems to mean, looking over at skye to let her know he doesn't mind. he's still affected by lucy's death, but he has no problem talking about it, it just doesn't come up often. malina was there, most of gus' friends already know. ]

I'm very worried about it! Dude, that's— I can't even imagine.

It sucked, but she's infinitely better now. [ you know, being dead. ]

Maybe. But what about you?

[ Even if she is better—and Skye's not sure she buys into all of that afterlife it gets better stuff—Gus still got left behind. Still did the mourning. That sucks. ]

[druidisms]

I'm also better now.

[ still mourning, but grief isn't really something you get over. ]

[hacker]

Right.

[ she shakes her head. digging into it stubbornly like this probably isn't helping, so she drops her gaze, falling silent. ]

You get used to it after a while, the loss. Doesn't hurt any less, but you learn to live with it.

I wouldn't know. [ After a beat, she clarifies, ] No family to lose.

[druidisms]

Might not be like that any more. I'm pretty sure Malina will beg to differ. [ surprise, you've been adopted. ] And family isn't just blood. That is the truth about this place.

[hacker]

[ She shakes her head, like it means more than she can say, but she can't quite understand. ]

She has a big heart. Claims she doesn't care quick, but it's bullshit.
