[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

Yeah, well, avoiding accountability isn't heroic. To me, that just looks like saving your own ass.

I want to know that if he goes off the rails, somebody's gonna have a way to reel him in.

It's not like — here, when you go on missions, your leader has to report how everything went to Wynn. And if you do something that's out of line, Wynn intervenes. It's not total anarchy.

And if Wynn makes a bad call? Who intervenes then?

One of the sect leaders? Or the Claws? But ... haven't you talked to him? He really considers everything. I don't think he'd make a bad call.

[ Skye stares for a minute like ok are you serious. ]

... Uh-huh. Yeah. Yep, I've met him. I don't think anyone can actually get squired here without ... meeting him.

So what's your specialty? Other than [ She gestures toward his plate ] mac and cheese pizza.

[he cracks a smile.] Well ... weapons, mostly. Swordfighting. That sort of thing.

No way. [ She lights up. ] Like, with real swords? Can you show me?

Sure! [he seems equally enthused.] What, now?

Duh. Yes, now!

[buttholy]

Okay, okay, give me a second. [he's putting up his pizza before they leave bc that shit is how you get ants, ok. and then ... to the training room. wheeeeee.]

[ Skye drums her hands on the table until he's done packing it away, then swans after him towards the training room. ]

So how'd you get started?

[buttholy]

With swords? Or with the knights?

[hacker]

Either. Both.

Swords was in college. [since the sword he usually practices with is in his room, he goes over to the rack to pickily inspect practice swords until he finds one to his satsifaction.] There was a group for Historical European Martial Arts. Knights was .... I kind of stalked the Karthur Institute for awhile until I stowed away in the trunk of someone's car on their way back.

Well, that's one of the creepier recruitment stories I've heard. No offense. [ oh well. ] What put the Karthur Institute on your radar?
