[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

[ he was not expecting that. he was not expecting that so much that his will save roll was a 2 and the popcorn bowl in his lap goes flying. ] Whoa! Uh, hi. Hey. [ he runs a hand through his hair after he recovers what's... left inside the bowl when he scoops it up, before it registers what she called him and his smile grows ] Kali, right?

[ she nods quickly. ] Yes, thank you. [ because she's very away he knows what else she's called and she's very appreciative he stuck with her name. her green eyes flicker to the popcorn and she chews on a fingernail. ] Did I startle you? I'm sorry.

[starprince]

What? No! No, not at all. [ his bluff was a 32, what a smooth mfer look at that recovery. he's just gonna give her a helluva charming smile to distract her from the popcorn all over the floor, holding out the bowl to offer her some of what's left in it (cha 32). ] Soo. How've you been?

[felidity]

[ holy shit, star-lord. her will save is a whole 4, clearly unused to this sort of attention. her lips part with a quick inhale, fingers reaching forward to pluck out a single piece of popcorn from the bowl and pop it in her mouth even though she doesn't like popcorn. ] Um. Good?

[starprince]

You sound a little unsure on that. [ he's mostly teasing. but he also gets that she put her ass on the line so that he might get his ship back and while he's kind of an asshole, he's not THAT much of an asshole. HE HASN'T FORGOTTEN. ]

[felidity]

[ she licks her lips to get the last of the salt. ] The question is kind of general. I do better with specifics.

[starprince]

[ well, that's distracting, thanks. ] Specifics, huh.

You haven't gotten any backlash over what you did back in Mexico? Using her secret credentials, or whatever that was?

[felidity]

[ see? that's much easier to answer. ]

I don't think so. I am supposed to have been euthanized so I assume someone is trying to figure out if the rest of them aren't actually dead, too.

[ there's nothing overly upset about her tone, even admitting she and the other people like her were meant to have been put down before they escaped, it's pretty clinical. but there is something like guilt in her otherwise clear eyes.

she would feel bad if she was the reason the other moreaus were caught and killed. ]

You know, that was pretty cool of you, putting yourself on the line like that. [ especially for a stranger, but he's getting the vibe that that's sort of these people's m.o. he's still not sure how much that fits with his own, but...

he's here now. and plans to make the most of it, which is probably why he follows that up with the oh-so-casual: ] It'd be a real shame, a pretty thing like you getting euthanized.

[felidity]

[ she can't decide it she's supposed to say thank you or you're welcome, so she settles on neither, but offers a sweet smile instead, clearly pleased with the compliment. ]

It's true, I am very pretty. And according to the Princess Bride there is a shortage of perfect breasts in the world. It would be a pity to damage mine.

[ he smirks widely at that, and steals a glance at her boobs good job peter. ] An intergalactic crisis, even.

[felidity]

[ she straightens up a little, but then leans forward. farewell personal space, peter got more than most. ] You really think so?

[starprince]

[ lmfao rolls a... 3 on his will save, amaze. he just leans closer as well, and this time checks her out without any pretense of subtlety. ] I mean, from what I can see of them from here, no doubt.

[felidity]

Has there ever been an intergalactic crisis over perfect breasts or would mine be the first? [ she pretty much wants to hear she would be the first, tbh, but distracts herself with: ] You smell salty.

[starprince]

[ he smirks at that, but his eyes drag down to her lips, as he slings one arm casually across the top of the couch. ] You'd be making history. [ mentioning the salt, he licks his lips briefly, glancing down at the bowl. ] Is that a good thing?

[felidity]

[ she sighs dreamily, she'd be historical. ] I like salt. But I'm weird, so I wouldn't trust my judgment.

[starprince]

Maybe I'm into weird.

[felidity]

Yeah? [ her weight shifts a little, hand snaking up the back of the couch until she can tiptoe her fingers across his arm. those biceps tho. ] Can you tell me about space?

[starprince]

Can I ever. [ he'll just slightly shift in place so he can try to flex said muscles without moving his arm too much. it's probably not as subtle as he would have hoped. ] But space is uh, pretty big. You might have to get more... specific. [ he grins at the word. see what he did there. ]

[felidity]

[ she has a very specific question, but she's momentarily distracted by the shift of his muscles under her fingertips, palm flattening against his arm. ]

Have you been to Pluto? Is it a planet?

[ she's from earth, she has a very narrow worldview of what space actually is. ]

[starprince]

You know, that one never made my flight pattern. But of course it's a planet. What else would it be? [ bless u 80s child ]

[felidity]

It was demoted. [ she bites on her lip and tilts her head. ] Are you sad? A lot of people are sad about that.

[starprince]

Wait, what? What did Pluto ever do to anybody?

[felidity]

I dunno. Well. [ she actually does. not just a pretty face. ] Pluto is considered a dwarf planet and is recognized as the prototype of a new category of trans-Neptunian objects, but dwarf planets are not planets under the International Astronomical Union's 2006 definition.
