[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. They're saying you let him go. He was a prisoner downstairs, and you set him free. Was that why? Because he's like you?

[She shifts back to herself at that question. It feels weird talking about somewhat personal shit wearing someone else's skin.]

He was convinced they were going to kill him and he owed me.

[For helping them kidnap Myri and Spike. For...other things. It was complicated.]

We went to Andres Isle together, to try and save a friend of mine.

Sorry. [ She holds up her hands. ] I'm prying. You don't have to— I meant what I said. It's your business. I swear, I'm not judging.

It's fine.

[She shrugs.]

The fact that I said anything at all means I believe that.

[The not judging part.]

You seem pretty alright, so I'd rather you hear it from me first. I don't get that chance too often.

[hacker]

I'm sorry. [ A genuine look of sympathy wells in Skye's expression as she looks at Elena now. ] It should be your story to tell. Not anyone else's. [ She gestures to her. ] So? Did you save him?

[doubletake]

[She shakes her head.]

Everything started out fine but...the whole thing ended up being a mess. [A beat.] When I came home, it was empty-handed.

[On numerous counts.]

[hacker]

Castle full of people who still have your back doesn't sound entirely empty-handed to me. [ Welcome to the bright side of life with Skye. ] Judgy or not, they're on your team. At least you had a place to come back to.

[doubletake]

I'm sure there's at least handful of them that would gladly let me take a hit, honestly.
But yeah, if I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't have come back. It helps that I have tougher skin now.

Even though you're on the same side? [ Show me those receipts, gurl. ]

They'd be doing the knighthood a favor, right? Let something else get me before I betray everyone again?

[She shrugs.]

I've only ever been on missions with the same people. They wouldn't do that, so for now it's a non-issue.

[hacker]

Pretty sure stabbing you in the back for any reason would just count as them betraying anyone. So, you know, if I see anyone with a knife ready, I'll be sure to go all TSA on them and master my running tackle.

[doubletake]

[That actually breaks her apparently sour mood on the whole thing and she just straight up laughs.]

[ She grins, seemingly validated by the laugh. ]

Hey, we gotta stick together, right? If we didn't, we'd be really screwed.

[doubletake]

Damn right. [She grins wider.] You need to meet some of my friends. They'd love you.

[hacker]

Yeah? Maybe you could introduce me.

[doubletake]

I think I can manage that.

[New friend meeting old friends. Mucho bueno.]

[hacker]

Sweet. [ She makes an overly sarcastic expression as she leans in and notes, ] Well, you know where to find me. [ And she glances up at the castle walls like there's sooo much of it. ]

Or you could just give me your phone number.

[Solutions.]

[hacker]

Or I could just give you my phone number. [ Laughing, Skye pulls out her phone, then passes it off to Elena. ] Just text yourself.

[doubletake]

[She plugs in her number, puts Skye's name into the message, and sends it, her own phone beeping in her pocket a moment later as she hands it back.]

In the meantime, want a tour?

[hacker]

You don't mind?

[doubletake]

Not even a little.

[If anything, she's more concerned with her being seen as making fast friends with that doppelganger that betrayed them that one time.]

[hacker]

[ SUch fast friends. All the friends. And they tour all the standard fare, presumably, like rooms and wings and stuff. It's a good time and puts Skye firmly in the Elena Gilbert Defense Squad. ]
