[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

I'm game. [ he gets to his feet as he hits pause, and kisses two fingers, which he presses against the screen for a brief second to alyssa milano's frozen face while he's on his way around the couch. ] I'll see you later.

[he snorts and rolls his eyes in fond amusement as he leads the way out to the garage.] I was trying to think of a good welcome wagon activity for you. There's this place in the East End, I think you'll really like it.

Do they have pinball machines? [ #priorities ]

[ambitionist]

Uhhh ... no. [he shakes his head like wtf even.] Is that a priority for you?

[starprince]

Just something I'm hoping to get my hands on now that I'm back on Planet Earth.

[ambitionist]

Well, we can probably find at least one. Check out some dive bars or something. You're lucky you're with me, I have a way of finding things.

[starprince]

What, like a superpower?

[ambitionist]

[he makes such an incredulous face.] No, not like a superpower. Like an ordinary mundane skill I happen to be really awesome at. [he stops in front of his xterra and gets in the driver's seat.] Here we are.

[ he looks over the vehicle a second before climbing in the passenger seat ] All aboard.

[ambitionist]

[vroom vroom.] So, how's Earth been treating you? Have you even done anything besides lay on the couch watching Netflix?

[starprince]

You know, they should really put a warning label on that stuff. There's not some sort of time warp technology involved in it, is there?

[ambitionist]

Nope, it's really just that easy to get sucked into imaginary people's drama.

[starprince]

Maybe that's why they used to ration it out once a week back when I was a kid.

[ambitionist]

They rationed it where you're from? Wait, is this pre- or post-space?

[starprince]

Not literally rationed. I mean you couldn't watch fifty episodes in a row unless someone was really dedicated with their VCR.

[ambitionist]

Oh, yeah, yeah. [he glances over with a squint like "oh so we're like ... the same age. we have the same point of reference. cool."] We always had the VCR programmed to record mine and my sisters' favorite shows off the TV so we could watch them again later.

[starprince]

Being an old child had its drawbacks.

[ambitionist]

Uh-huh. What kind of shows did you watch? Do you remember?

[starprince]

Ninja Turtles, Who's the Boss, Knight Rider, Transformers, The A Team...

[ambitionist]

Clearly you're a man of taste.

[starprince]

Well, I don't want to brag but yeah. Pretty much.

[ambitionist]

I watched all that shit, too. And Star Trek. And Ripley's Believe it or Not.

[starprince]

It's good to know there's still people around speaking my language.

[ambitionist]

Oh, there's plenty of us. [dozens. eventually, they make it to the east end and alex leads him into a music shop. it's huuuuuge, there's even a coffee shop area and a (currently empty) stage area where one might assume performances take place. he winds through all the rows of cds and vinyl to a small corner wall that's all cassette tapes.] Here we are.
