[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. Well, for starters, I only worked for a tabloid, so callin' myself a reporter might make the real journalists whinge. [she shrugs.] I'm a lass of many talents. I happen to think a group like this would know how to use 'em.

Maybe they should. World needs more heroes in the papers. [she lays the pool stick across her shoulders.] I'm what my ma calls flighty. I do different things as it strikes my fancy. Most of it's been writin', I admit, but my heart and soul has always been in helpin' those less fortunate.

Not to generalize an entire subculture, given I know they do a lot of good, but the worst ones tend to be... less than enthusiastic about my kind existing.

Shadowkind, in general, really. [she shrugs one shoulder.] I'm a kitsune.

I didn't really think organizations like this would have a lot of appeal for kitsunes.

I wouldn't know. Never met another kitsune in my life. [the problems of being raised by humans and losing her mother when she was a baby.]

They're not really big on being tied down, in my experience.

Ah, that. [okay, she knows that one well.] Well, the only thing I hate more than bein' tied down is bein' pigeonholed. Maybe fightin' the urge is what I need to get somewhere with my life, yeah?

[She saunters around the pool table, lining the balls up inside the triangle.] I mean, who wants to do what you're expected to do all the time.

Well, for now it's where I wanna be. [She removes the triangle, chalks up her pool cue and slides into position in front of the cue ball.] Is it where you wanna be?

Aye. So what was your reason, then? [she slams her stick into the cue ball, breaking the balls apart, efficiently (dex 22)] I told you mine.

My girlfriend and my brother are here.

I thought there might have been a girl involved.

[AND YET SHE'S STILL FLIRTING. she can't turn it off, okay. she's a fox.]

It's not just about the girl.

Nah, it's also about the brother and, I assume, the other knightly things, but there's always a girl in some form or fashion.
