[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

I don't really mind it. Your scars tell a story and all that.

Not a very good story. [ the levity at his gum pocket fades into melancholy. ] People see my scar and they see a victim, I don't like being looked at like that.

Uh, no, wrong. Victims die. You're a survivor.

[ she tries to tell herself that, but it doesn't always work and unfortunately, aside from will and cora, alex is the person she's most comfortable with so he bears the brunt of her internal conflict. ]

Do you have any of your pain pills handy?

[he tilts his head like] Maybe. Shouldn't you have your own?

They're in my room. [ far away. ]

What are you on?

[theminotaur]

Codeine and Ibuprofen.

[ambitionist]

I've got Vicodin and Excedrin.

[theminotaur]

What one works faster?

[ambitionist]

Uh .... Vicodin, I guess.

[theminotaur]

[ she chews on her lip. ] Can I have ... half of one?

[ambitionist]

Yeah. [he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a little pill case, then pulls out the vicodin and easily breaks one in half since they're scored.] Do I have to give you a speech about taking painkillers responsibly?

[theminotaur]

If I needed that speech, would I really be asking for half of one?

[ she swallows it dry, nose wrinkling at the taste it leaves on her tongue. grosssssssssssssssssssssssss. ]

[alex smiles at her expression like awww precious bb. so cute, so pitiful.] Fair point, I guess.
