[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

Andrew was really hoping to get some quality time with some video games. He shows up with his own snacks and lets out an audible groan of disappointment when he sees someone has beaten him there. He almost leaves, but then he notices just who it is that's sitting at the couch.

"Oh, it's just you." So kind. "Move over, then."

He might complain, but he's no idiot, he sees the snacks that Andrew has there. There's a gentle huff, but he shoves his hand down against the sofa and shifts himself up a bit, grabbing hold of the second handset and offering it out towards Andrew.

"Long as you don't mind being player two."

Everyone knows player two is the shit player.

Andrew is never player two. He's always the one starting up the games here and letting other people join in. He huffs, a little grumpy, but he can't deny that Matt got here first, so it's only fair.

It's stupid, but it's fair.

"Yeah, alright." He grabs the controller and grumbles a bit more. "Hope you're ready to have your ass kicked."

Matt starts laughing; it's the sort of laugh you just can't help but have, like a laugh at a funeral that you really shouldn't allow to reach the surface.

"You kidding me, right? I mean that would be pretty fucking funny. Get ready to fail, Gatewood."

If there's anything that Andrew knows that he's superior at? It's shit like this. While Matt can talk to girls and play music and other normal social things, Andrew cuddled his computers all through the night up until he met Bo.

That's a solid 20+ years of being the guy playing games with strangers online for all hours of the night.

"Yeah, yeah- just start the game up. Quit stalling." He cracks a grin. This is nice. He's never really had this sort of thing with people in his family- even as giant as they are.

He laughs again as he lets the game start, flicking up some over elaborate start screen with a blood splatter on it. It's a game full of Nazis or zombies or Nazi zombies. With swords and guns and gun swords.

Damn yeah.

"Just trying to let you down gently, boy."

"Do me a favor? Go fuck yourself." Which is just the way family says I love you, isn't it?

Nazi zombies with gun swords? So bad ass. What's clear from the very start is that Andrew isn't the sword of player who has a quiet concentration. He's not a man of many words in a lot of situations. He's more often content to hang out quietly in the background until a crowd moves on, but as soon as the game starts, it's like he's a brand new man.

"Fucking zombie... fucks!" He calls out as he guns one down. It's not eloquent at all, but who needs it?

Well shit just got serious, because that band of Nazi zombies have got brains on their mind and there's only two people capable of ending this long war.

Apparently.

He shoots one right in the face, which explodes and leaves a really cool blood splatter over the camera effect. :)

"Take that fuck cunts." Yeahhhhh.

It's a zombie massacre out there, rotting corpses falling down left and right. Even if they're sort of competing, Andrew can't help but notice that they're actually sort of a good team.

"On your left!" He shouts before firing off a shot to take one down hat was going to take a chomp out of Matt in another second.

"You know I've never played this game as two player before." He comments as they both move on to the next stage.

"Ah thanks man!" Matt bellows out, taking one hand off his control to clap Andrew on the arm. Really, anybody would think that he'd actually saved his life, not fended off some zombie pixels.

He goes back to the game, and has his character do a frankly really cool roll forward ending with a barrage of bullets in the air. He cries out like he thinks he's Rambo or something.

"It's good yeah-- Careful man, we've got the boss coming up soon."

"Shit, yeah. This one is tough. Took me ages the first time I played this through." He sits up straighter and leans forward with his elbows on his knees, as if that will definitely help him kill Nazi zombie generals that much better.

"I'll draw him out and you can take him from behind." He pauses, realizing what he just said and snorts a laugh. Because he's twelve.

"Fuck off," he says, a bit reflex but with no real weight behind it. How could there be when there are important nazi zombies to kill? That takes precedence, of course, and he's going to damn well get behind that bastard and shoot his head off if it's the last thing he does.

"Quick quick, slide between the fucker's legs before the zombie wolf pack comes."

He doesn't think anything about what he's said or Matt's reaction to it. He's just making sex jokes while they shoot Nazi zombies. No big deal.

"On it." He says as he rolls dramatically through the boss' legs and makes his way to Matt's side. "Through that door. Go, go, go!" There's a bit of a cut scene that comes next. Andrew has seen it before so he leans back and grabs some of the Doritos close at hand.

"You're better at this than I would have guessed."

"Shut your mouth," he says, waving a hand at him as he leans forward to watch the cut scene because it's very important and he clearly hasn't seen it before. Zombie Hitler might turn up and he'd hate to miss that.

Still, when it's done (no zombie Hitler, by the way) he leans back a bit and looks over to Andrew.

"Yeah well you know Andres was hardly a party town. Least not the sort of party I want to go to. Got through a lot of X Box."

"Guess I just assumed you would be too busy taking girls home from the bar or whatever." He's completely bought into the persona that Matt likes to put on- the ladies man vibe and all that.

"Oh you've been listening to too many stories from your mammy," he smirks. He's not really bothered by the fact it's the automatic assumption, if anything it's much easier for him to have people put him in a pigeonhole for his little role in life.

Even if it's a fuckton more complicated.

"I mean, rumor is, they found you on Andres while you were- Well, you know." Again, he snorts a laugh. "Not exactly a far leap to make that it was a regular thing for you." The game is starting back up, but Andrew's only half paying attention for now. Has he got Matt pegged wrong? He knows how that can go and doesn't want to end up offending the guy on accident.

"Balls deep? Yeah well should teach people to walk in without being invited. Though I think a couple of them wanted an invitation after they walked in."

He smirks over in Andrew's direction, making a show of playing the game but this bit is nowhere near as intense, he could take these zombies out with his eyes closed. Probably.

"What do you think ladies are, a piece of meat?" and no he's teasing him, he doesn't really think he thinks that.

"Fuck off." He says, laughing, because he can tell that it's just a joke. "You can just say if you're jealous of my wife, yeah? I mean, I know every poor bastard around here is. Or if they're not, they fucking should be."

He switches out his gun for a sword so he can kill some of the zombies all up close and personal. Things he would never do in real life in a million years, but hey! That's what the game is for, right?

"You kidding? Course I'm fucking jealous of your wife." Come on, he has seen her, he's not stupid. Though he wonders what lottery Andrew played to manage that.

Or maybe he's just got a really big cock.

"Woah man. You know if you use the cheat code you can get a katana, right?"

Matt's admittance of jealousy makes Andrew just fucking grin from ear to ear. He knows he's a lucky son of a bitch, and he's also proud as hell of how great Bo is. Thing is? Most people only want her because of how she looks. He knows that spending any time with her would make them all ten times more jealous. Basically, his wife is perfect.

Except for the part where she could kill them when they have sex, but... I mean, every relationship has hurdles.

"No shit? Must have missed that. You know the code?"

And he'll do it himself. Twice. Motherfucking katanas. Oh yeah. And he'll promptly slice up a zombie with those bad boys. Just like that. You only wish you were this cool.

"What you care about my sex life for anyway, Gatewood?"

Andrew is quick to use the code as well, getting himself some sweet blades to slice and dice some zombies up as he moves to catch up to Matt.

"Who said I cared about it? All I was saying is that I figured you wouldn't be much good at the game because you were probably busy getting laid." Or maybe being married to a succubus just makes you more inclined to think about how often other people get busy. Who knows.

"What can I say, I'm a multi tasker." Though whoever came up with that idea probably didn't have fucking and computer games in mind.

"Okay we gotta collect the crystals and take them to the portal." Again, obviously.

"And I usually am. Gettling laid, that is." But he doesn't kiss and tell. Much.

"Good on you." He quips back as he moves towards the first crystal. This conversation isn't exactly normal, but he's been trying to just find some sort of common ground. Andrew's not great at being friends with most people, but Ella had told him that Matt could use a friend, so he's going to keep trying.

"Anyone in particular these days?" He's not looking for details, but just taking an interest in Matt's life.
