[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

Exhausting. I want to sleep all the time. There needs to be more hours in the day just so I can sleep through them.

[Vi's honesty is one of the things Cora loves about her so she clearly doesn't mind. She gives her a small smile.]

Do you at least have babysitters you can rope in when you need a nap?

Oh, yeah, of course, I just don't want to bother anyone. They're all busy and stuff.

[impetere]

[There's a small beat because Cora isn't entirely sure if Vi trusts her enough for this, but she wants to help. New moms need just as much sleep if not more. It's just an offer all the same, and Vi can tell her no if she needs to.]

I wouldn't mind.

Oh, that's sweet, hon. But the whole lactating thing gets in the way a lot. Even if I did ask... [ boobs. ] When she's less boob obsessed you will be the first person I call. Well, maybe second. Elena might beat you to it.

[impetere]

[She nods in agreement, before shrugging.]

No worries. But even if you need me to just sit in a room with her while you pass out for a bit, I don't mind. You need to rest too.

Yeah? [ part of it is just that she doesn't want to let lucia out of her sight because she's literally the only thing she has left of luthir... ] That would be okay.

[There's a small smile and she nods.]

Yeah. Whenever you need it, just text me. Unless I'm not at the castle, I can do it.

Thanks, sweetie. [ that's such a nice offer, she reaches out to squeeze cora's arm gratefully. ] Does the wolf have a name?

[She pauses for a moment before wrinkling her nose.]

I didn't give it one. I'm bad with naming stuff.

Um, what about... [ don't say remus, don't say remus, do no say remus, violet! ] Romulus.

[ SHE DIDN'T SAY REMUS. ]

[She glances up with a curious look, because she knows that name (mythology 16).]

Like the myth?

Exactly. Romulus and brother Remus founded Rome. They were the twin demigod sons of Mars and Rhea Silvia, a Vestal Virgin. Since they're, you know, supposed to be virgins, the guy that forced her to take the vows of chastity threw the infant twins into the river, but miraculously, the river ferried them to safety in the form of a she-wolf, Lupa. [ she nods at cora, like YOU KNOW, WOLVES! ] She suckled them and kept them alive until a shepherd and his wife found them both and raised them. Anyway, they didn't know who they were for a really long time, but when they did, they found the guy that forced their mom to be a Vestal Virgin -- Tiberinus, the god of the river they were throw in wound up marrying her -- and overthrew him, putting his brother, their grandfather, back on the throne. Instead of ruling that land, they decided to start their own empire. They couldn't decide on where though and wound up fighting, and uh, Romulus killed Remus and named his empire, Rome, after himself. He founded the first Legion, too.

Kind of like Cain and Abel.

Except, you know ... instead of being cursed for eternity for his crime, he founded one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

Well, Romans pretty much made a name on murder. Makes sense.
