[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

Not long. Maybe a week or so. I'll be back by the time Myri and Vi have their babies though.

[His expression darkens.] The whole Finnick thing. [he runs a hand over his face.] I thought Myri could use the extra support.

Right... Yeah. [A frown touching her lips.] How is she? [A beat.] I've been, wanting to see her it's just... [Voice trailing off.] I told her we'd find a way to fix it you know? And I'm not really good at, comforting people.

It's not good. [he looks away, uncomfortable, as he clenches his fist so hard, his knuckles perceptively crack.] If it can be fixed, it's gonna be hellish getting there, and, in the meantime, she doesn't have a whole lot of hope left. She's broken.

She doesn't deserve this. [At least she has the sense to add (Wis 19).] I mean, nobody does but... It's Myri.

Yeah, and the fact that this shit keeps happening to her is just proof this world's fucked. [he is not a happy camper about any of this at all.]

Like there needed to be more proof of that. [Something serious there, despite the hint of sarcasm.] Is that why you don't bring your husband around here? [Welcome to Rose!Logic, Des.] Seems like whenever two people involved with the Knights get married it all goes to hell.

[Rose has been to exactly two weddings in her life. Vi and Luthirs. And Myri and Finnicks. Girl is getting a complex about Weddings.]

[Des looks away, expression hard.] Part of it. This is a fight I started, and I don't wanna drag him into it.

I might have felt the same way... 'Cept I sorta dragged mine in then fell for him. Though he probably would have found his way in anyway. [Trouble and Winchesters okay.]

[he looks at her skeptically.] From what I know of Dean Winchester, he'd have to have had a damn good reasoning for joining this dog and pony show on his own.

For every one thing people think they know about Dean? There's a book full of stuff that would surprise you. [Rose Hathaway. Forever committed to trying to help everyone see the best in Dean.] You don't actually think he signed up for me do you?

[She knows her being here helped, Sam too for a number of reasons but he could have been with her and kept an eye on Sam without joining the Knights.]

No, I think he signed up for his brother. [he shrugs.] And the one thing I know for a fact about Dean is that he and I've got a lot in common.

Really? [Something close to surprise in her tone.] How much do you know about Dean, exactly?

Rumors and hearsay, mostly. I was a detective before this gig. You hear shit, but it didn't take much talking to him to know not all of what people said about him was bullshit.

[he adds, before she has a chance to be defensive:] The bad and the good.

[Rose's default mode is defensive when it comes to Dean but she stops herself this time (WS 25), allowing herself a moment to absorb what Des is saying rather than shoot (her mouth off) first, ask questions later.]

Took me almost two years to figure that out so... Guess I gotta give you credit there. [Mustering up a wry half grin.

Granted... In Rose's case? She was the one saying most of the bad things but, semantics.]

Well, I'm good at reading people. [and just because he defaults to angry and violent about people he doesn't like doesn't mean he doesn't get them. the two things are not mutually exclusive.] Kinda goes with the job.

Good thing nobody keeps me around for my ability to read people. [The comment is a flippant one but there may be something more behind those words but with a Bluff of 29 its, pretty deeply hidden.]

Though if the bad guys could quit surprising us, I'd be a lot happier. [Pushing those issues back down and making it into a pointed joke.]
