[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

And no. Research, mostly. Alex told me it was the Knighthood in Russia. I'm trying to find traces of you guys in the news outside of that. You should really get somebody on wiping it, doing a better job of cleaning up your identities. The Hoard should be able to spitshine any pictures of you guys right off the net. [ She canted her head and admitted, ] I mean, not Marcus.

[felidity]

Well, people that come through the veil don't generally have identities do they? [ punch punch. (atk 29, 26) ] Nothing to trace. There's a lot of stuff that happens publicly but is untraceable to the Knighthood.

[hacker]

But not everybody here came through the Veil. [ Beat. ] Did you?

[felidity]

No, I was made here. In America. I really am from Wyoming. My DNA could be multinational though, I've never had my genome run. [ more punching. (atk 22, 29) still super competent against a mostly stationary target. ]

[hacker]

Yeah, that sentence? That's a little weird. [ Guuurl. ]

[felidity]

[ she pauses to steady the bag. ] It's true! Alex and Malina are trying to teach my how to act like normal people, but I don't think it's working yet.

[hacker]

Consider your source. Seriously, if you wanna learn to act like you weren't popped out of some government test tube, the answer is simple: Netflix. There's no faster way to absorb how people act with each other.

[felidity]

I watched all three seasons of Orange is the New Black? [ so hopeful that is the kind of social interactions she's supposed to be absorbing. maybe not though. ]

[hacker]

... That's not how people act. Don't take tips from that one. [ A look of horror. ]

[felidity]

[ but!! her head dips down like a puppy with it's tail between it's legs. she tried and failed. ] Okay. [ she'll just go back to hitting the punching bag now. (atk 28, 29) ]

[hacker]

[ Skye looked up finally at the silence, noticing Kali's work on the bag. ]

Dude, you're destroying that thing. You weren't exaggerating earlier, were you?

[felidity]

No? [ she gives another jab (atk 26) and then a hard cross (nat 20, 31 total) that sends it off the hook and on to the floor with a thunderous thud that makes her wince. she looks back at skye like ummmmmmm. oops? ]

[hacker]

[ A squeal of delight answers her and Skye claps, dropping her phone and pushing to her feet. She goes to examine the bag, tugging at it to try and help Kali set it up again while she talks. She does a good job, actually (str 15). ]

Oh my god! I can't believe I got scooped up by a legit secret superhero organization. Are you even real?

[felidity]

...yes. [ omg skye you can't just ask kali questions like that, she's not used to existential crises! she looks genuinely thrown by it for a brief moment, but just puts the finishing touches on skye's heavy lifting (str 17), and hooks the bag into place, teetering on her tip toes. ]

I don't think we're superheroes though. Nathan has an origin story... maybe he is a superhero.

[ she really loves spider-man, so she just casually knows about origin stories but not charmed or alyssa milano or david bowie. this is her life. ]

Sorry, what part of secret government experiment doesn't sound like an origin story to you?

[felidity]

[ um. ] But Nathan had a mystical storm. [ she's just kali? there is nothing mystical about her. ]

[hacker]

Yeah, that's ... that's not actually a requirement. [ beat. ] Who's Nathan?

[felidity]

[ she's unsure, but she's willing to reserve judgment for a bit. ] A knight, he's in the Hide with me. He's immortal.

[hacker]

Wait, like ... actually immortal? How does that even work?

[felidity]

He dies, which is sad, and then he wakes up again a little while later. I've never seen it, but I've heard. [ she tugs on the bag to make sure it's secure again. ]

[hacker]

What is that, is that like some kind of psionic power? I've never heard of anything like that before.

[felidity]

I don't know. As much as I would like to test it, I also don't want to murder Nathan. [ he's nice to her. as much as nathan does "nice". he's nice in his little way. ] I don't think he was born here though.

[hacker]

So he came through the Veil? Do you know if a lot of people can do that where he came from?

[felidity]

I don't know. We don't really talk much. Logan heals really fast though and he was Nathan's mentor, he might know.

Logan. Is he in the Hide too?
