[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

Jo eats cereal out of the box, David survives mostly on sandwiches. The extent of his cooking experience prior to arriving with the Knights had been roasting animals over an open fire and while he's managed to learn enough about the stove to boil water and fry eggs he's not exactly becoming a gourmet chef overnight.

Jo is an unfamiliar face, unfortunately, and while he can't say he's met all of the squires, she moves through the room with a familiarity that speaks to more than that. It doesn't bother him, really - knights from other satellite offices come in all the time - but he does at least make a point of saying hello.

"Morning."

She feels almost like she got her hand caught in the cookie jar, but it's only a cereal box this morning so that's something. She pauses, mid-grab of another handful, and swallows hard against a not-completely-chewed mouthful of dry cereal. It takes her a moment to find her voice, considering the grain of cereal is still rough in the back of her throat.

"Morning," she finally replies. "I really hope this isn't your cereal that I'm scarfing down."

David glances over at the box before shaking his head. Thankfully, he grew out of processed sugar cereals while he was in Everworld. He came back and it was way, way sweeter than anyone should want to eat anything.

"Nope. I'm more of a bacon and eggs kind of guy." A point which he will prove by heading to the fridge to get those ingredients. "But if it doesn't have a name on it, I think you're safe."

Jo nods, watching him move to start preparing his breakfast. "That seems like a pretty good rule," she replies as she glances to the front of the box. There's no name, but she still will make sure to replace it, because her hand has been in it. Then again, who knows who else has put their hand into it.

"I'm Jo," she offers. "I've been away for a while on mission. Got back the other night."

"David," he replies as he fishes out a pan and starts to set himself up to cook. "Welcome back." He turns on the burner and sets the pan on it to start heating up, before glancing back to her as he went in search of cooking spray. "When did you head out?"

"Thanks," she replies. She gives that appreciation a bit of time to breathe before she dumps the time she's been away on him, "And I left three years ago. Give or take a few months."

"Which sounds like it was right around when I was getting here," he says with a small nod. "We must have just missed each other." Which can be easy to do in a place as huge as this. "Which sect are you in?"

"Hide," she replies easily. "I am guessing that you're the same?" He doesn't seem like the type to really fit into the others.

He nods again, glancing over with a small smirk. "We're pretty easy to pick out of a crowd. At least most of the guys in the sect are." The girls are a little harder to spot, mostly because a lot of them are under 5'5" and don't look like they're built to be fighters.

"So, I won't see any six foot five, two-hundred twenty pound guys over in Hoard?" Jo's teasing, but she also isn't shy when it comes to breaking stereotypes. She is after all a slender blonde that has been used as bait more than a few times in her life.

Also... Captcha is horrible. We can handwave the rest... since I did take like almost three months to get back to this.
