[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

[Kate usually spends a good amount of her time at the firing range when she has some downtime, wanting to keep her skills sharp. It's also a good way to clear her head when she needs to think. The time in is clearly paying off, as shown by the three solid shots she makes at the head of the range (attack 26, 24, 20).

As she finishes the third shot she goes to pull the paper target forward to get a better look at her work.]

Not bad, Beckett. Not bad.

[She will notice that someone is there eventually. Or Gwen will scare the crap out of her. It still remains to be seen.]

[And it's going to be the latter, Sorry Kate, the door to the firing range clanging shut before Kate can remove her ear muffs.]

Not bad at all. [Getting a look at Kate's target as she approaches the shooting stand to her right.

Nothing like giving somebody a mild heart attack while they're armed.]

[She jumps, but not as much as she could have (reflex save 16). She spins on her heels an pushes her headphones off her ears, eyes wide in surprise.]

Sorry. Didn't see you there.

Oh - no. [Holding up a hand in apology.] You're fine. Couldn't really announce myself, sorry.

[She shakes her head.]

It's fine.

[She just spooked her. She shifts her target to one hand before holding out her newly freed one.]
