[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.   Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions:  Dead of Winter, Curse of the Homo Magi, Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood  If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask!  Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. [It's a very big possibility and Cora's joy that he's letting her help him sobers for a moment.]

Physically? I think he'll be fine. It shouldn't kill him or anything. Emotionally, though ...

It's pretty much all he has left, aside from the knights. All of his family is on the other side of the Veil.

[She can't, exactly. But she did get a crazy high sense motive so she can have a general idea that he's probably affirming her statement (sense motive 28). She did not know he could talk though and that's probably even cooler.]

"Dogs kind of sneak up on you that way. I'm sure it's not your fault." There's a small smirk at that before she tips her screen to the side so that Alice can see. She's mostly just messing around on the internet like a normal teenager but there are a few tabs present on actual magical/work related things.

"Just messing around. The books I was looking into weren't really getting me anywhere, so I was trying to find a more modern source."

[YES, SHE DOES, BUT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BREAK BELLE'S CONFIDENCE SO SHE'S ... not going to say anything specific.]

Maybe there was something he needed to sort out. Without other knights around.

[She snorts before shaking her head.]

It's just creepy. I wake up and I'm staring at myself.

[Clark stops dead in his tracks when the man runs into him. He doesn't stumble backwards, being as solid as he is.]

No, it's okay. [He moves to bend and pick up the book so that he can hand it back.] I probably should have been watching where I was going. You okay?

Andrew is never player two. He's always the one starting up the games here and letting other people join in. He huffs, a little grumpy, but he can't deny that Matt got here first, so it's only fair.

It's stupid, but it's fair.

"Yeah, alright." He grabs the controller and grumbles a bit more. "Hope you're ready to have your ass kicked."

Matt starts laughing; it's the sort of laugh you just can't help but have, like a laugh at a funeral that you really shouldn't allow to reach the surface.

"You kidding me, right? I mean that would be pretty fucking funny. Get ready to fail, Gatewood."

If there's anything that Andrew knows that he's superior at? It's shit like this. While Matt can talk to girls and play music and other normal social things, Andrew cuddled his computers all through the night up until he met Bo.

That's a solid 20+ years of being the guy playing games with strangers online for all hours of the night.

"Yeah, yeah- just start the game up. Quit stalling." He cracks a grin. This is nice. He's never really had this sort of thing with people in his family- even as giant as they are.

He laughs again as he lets the game start, flicking up some over elaborate start screen with a blood splatter on it. It's a game full of Nazis or zombies or Nazi zombies. With swords and guns and gun swords.

Damn yeah.

"Just trying to let you down gently, boy."

[He chuckles nervously, his face slightly redder than it was a few seconds ago, and no, the drink hasn't worked that fast.] So, ten days right? I'm totally disoriented, accidentally pissing off satyrs in fedoras and struggling to orient myself with...all this. [He makes a grand sweeping gesture with his free hand to signify 'everything.']

And the whole time, people keep threatening to call "the Knights," telling me that the Knights were going to stop me or arrest me or whatever. So...I just...kinda assumed they were some kind of Evil Overlord kind of organization, you know?

"Do me a favor? Go fuck yourself." Which is just the way family says I love you, isn't it?

Nazi zombies with gun swords? So bad ass. What's clear from the very start is that Andrew isn't the sword of player who has a quiet concentration. He's not a man of many words in a lot of situations. He's more often content to hang out quietly in the background until a crowd moves on, but as soon as the game starts, it's like he's a brand new man.

"Fucking zombie... fucks!" He calls out as he guns one down. It's not eloquent at all, but who needs it?

Well shit just got serious, because that band of Nazi zombies have got brains on their mind and there's only two people capable of ending this long war.

He shoots one right in the face, which explodes and leaves a really cool blood splatter over the camera effect. :)

"Take that fuck cunts." Yeahhhhh.

Yes. That. That right there. [thanks for making her good with words, topher...] But I can't do it alone. I mean, there's even three Lone Gunmen. I got nothing. Just... Myself and a lot of files and research I stole from Pegasus. [he says the last part under his breath like he's worried about being overheard.]

"One piece? Yes. Sane? I'm pretty sure, you'll have to ask Nat on that one. But comfortable with this place just yet? Nah, not at all. Between the creatures, the magic, the fancy armor and shit, it's been quite the adjustment. But hey, if I keep running into familiar faces like this, I think everything's gonna be ok. But hey, you're with the Knights too right? What the hell have you been up to, kid?"

It's a zombie massacre out there, rotting corpses falling down left and right. Even if they're sort of competing, Andrew can't help but notice that they're actually sort of a good team.

"On your left!" He shouts before firing off a shot to take one down hat was going to take a chomp out of Matt in another second.

"You know I've never played this game as two player before." He comments as they both move on to the next stage.

[His eyes glaze over with righteous fury at even the slight mention of someone mistreating a bow. He's able to restrain himself from doing anything rash (will save 18 + 4mod = 22), but does huff his frustration.] No, no, I don't think that's how it works.

[Eager to change the subject, he decides to ask about how these two Birb Themed People got their names.] So, how'd you get labelled as a Canary? Were you the first one sent into the mines or something? [Bad try at re-directional humor is still bad.]

"Ah thanks man!" Matt bellows out, taking one hand off his control to clap Andrew on the arm. Really, anybody would think that he'd actually saved his life, not fended off some zombie pixels.

He goes back to the game, and has his character do a frankly really cool roll forward ending with a barrage of bullets in the air. He cries out like he thinks he's Rambo or something.

"It's good yeah-- Careful man, we've got the boss coming up soon."

"Shit, yeah. This one is tough. Took me ages the first time I played this through." He sits up straighter and leans forward with his elbows on his knees, as if that will definitely help him kill Nazi zombie generals that much better.

"I'll draw him out and you can take him from behind." He pauses, realizing what he just said and snorts a laugh. Because he's twelve.

The fact that you ended up on Andres when you did sure as shit didn't help.

"Fuck off," he says, a bit reflex but with no real weight behind it. How could there be when there are important nazi zombies to kill? That takes precedence, of course, and he's going to damn well get behind that bastard and shoot his head off if it's the last thing he does.

"Quick quick, slide between the fucker's legs before the zombie wolf pack comes."

He doesn't think anything about what he's said or Matt's reaction to it. He's just making sex jokes while they shoot Nazi zombies. No big deal.

"On it." He says as he rolls dramatically through the boss' legs and makes his way to Matt's side. "Through that door. Go, go, go!" There's a bit of a cut scene that comes next. Andrew has seen it before so he leans back and grabs some of the Doritos close at hand.

"You're better at this than I would have guessed."
