A several year operation investigating a Consortium known as PTC run by a mysterious man - now revealed to be a ogre - named Estavan has led to the discovery that he made a a business deal with a trio of demons. To no one's surprise, that did not end well, and Estavan has asked the Knights for help in setting things right. Estavan has asked the Knights to head to his warehouse in London and keep the creatures busy while he goes to meet with the Consortium's Ruling Council to find a way to take care of them. While Phineas, the Doctor, Val'drin, and Alec stay behind to clean things up at Estavan's home, Cordelia and Kate phone for back-up to meet them downtown at the warehouse.

They meet up in the warehouse district of the city, outside the large building.  There are several empty trucks parked out in the lot, but otherwise, no visible lights on, and only one door set in the side of it, and a few closed heavy loading doors.

[Oh, well, okay. She'll clear her throat once.]

Um, hello?

[ no response at all. he just keeps steering... ]

[Oooookay? Then she'll just lean over, wave a hand in front of his face, and if that gets no response, she'll try and take over the steering by either pulling the wheel in the direction she wants harder than him or by trying to remove his hands if that doesn't work. (str? 14)]

[ he doesn't resist at all, and she pulls the wheel, directing the forklift - she has to make a drive check to get it parked next to the hovering door, but if she gets at least a 10 then there is room for all of them to stand on the pallet ]

[She manages it with a drive of 11, though she still looks super weirded out about, well, everything. She's seen some shit but this is taking the cake right now.]

[Topher is like (unsure) too, but WHAT OTHER OPTION DO THEY HAVE.]

I heard blue collar jobs could be mind-numbing, but this is a little much. Is anyone even home? [he waves a hand in front of the blue dude's face, himself, just in case... he has better luck.]

[Kate follows in suit in getting on the platform, keeping her eyes open for any sign of trouble (spot 32).]

Maybe not. Maybe they're ... conjured somehow?

[ zero response for topher either, as cordelia gingerly clambers on ] Whatever they are, they're creeping me out. [ kate makes out several islands of floating pallets, some above and some below. there are also several free floating doorways other than the one that they entered through. ]

[She scans each of the doorways for a moment, before pointing to the one that's closest and turning to Ashley.]

Do you think you can steer us to that door?

[This all seems super fucked up and completely outside of the description of what she thought they were gonna be doing but she'll nod and start guiding the lift over to the indicated door (drive 21).]

[ it's easy enough to steer, and when ashley parks the pallet in front of the door, which floats in the open expanse, connected to nothing but appearing to be solid and functional. there is graffiti scrawled upon the surface of the stained and pockmarked wood, and the doorknob glows with a harsh, crimson light. ] Annnd behind door number one...?

[andblockbuster]

I mean it kinda has that aura of potential evil about it... [he looks at Elijah.] You open it.

[you are a CHILD, Topher.] Very well.

[tries to open the door???]

[ it opens, sending a slight buzzing sensation into his hand, and revealing a shadow-filled alley beyond in what appears to be a very modern looking city. ]

[bagsthem]

[Ashley peers through the doorway.]

Okaaaay? So does every one of these doors just lead somewhere else random in the world? Because that's super messed up. I mean, convenient, but messed up.

[killmypatience]

[Kate considers for a moment, before giving a small shrug.]

Maybe this is how he runs his shipping business so discreetly. All of his warehouses are connected by magic, and he just opens one door to exit another.

[As she speaks though, she'll peer inside and see if there's anything of interest or would indicate where the fiends they're looking for are (spot 20 total, listen 23).]

I mean I kinda assumed it was going to be a doorway to Hell, so, like... This is better.

[pathology]

Yeah ... I mean, I guess it's still a little sketchy, but ... less sketchy than a hell portal.

[bagsthem]

Okay, but, how are we supposed to protect a place that has like a bunch of different entrances from apparently anywhere we can think of?

[allaboutme]

[ kate hears some noises coming from deeper in the alley. a woman's voice pleads: "No, please no." a deeper voice responds, "You shouldn't have crossed Mr. Corsone. This isn't personal, but I do have a job to do. I'll try not to hurt you... much." ]

[killmypatience]

[The name "Corsone" does ring a bell though, from her reading of mission reports and talking to Lila about her whirlwind love story (knowledge current events 23 - if this isn't kosher let me know!).]

That's Chicago. And there's someone in trouble.

[But she's torn on helping the poor possibly innocent person, and the job that they have to do to make sure Estavan can break his deal.]

I know we're supposed to be the good guys here, but, like... We can't be good guys everywhere at once, so....

[can we not jump into the unknown and make the plan a bigger clusterfuck...]
