Talk about a soiree.  The team has walked into what is clearly legitimately a Gatsby party, but with an Indian flair.  Even upon approach, it's easy to see that this place is without parallel:  people are driving cars right up on the lawn of the fabulous mansion, which looks half-modern and half like a palace out of a Bollywood film.  Men and women in bright colors, fabrics, beads and silks move inside en masse, and as the doors are opened before them, they can see the grandness of the interior, with its diamond garland, draped fabrics, giant jeweled elephant statues, indoor trees that arch to the ceilings, twirling dancers, and a tall dramatic staircase leading up to a balcony above where the host himself reclines surrounded by admirers and friends, smoking a cigar.  

Liquor flows freely, and food is carried around on golden trays through the crowds.  It's an overwhelming buffet for the senses, a dizzying spectacle of color, laughter, dancing, and entertainment.

[David doesn't really want to phone home. He knows the Doctor has a point, but he'd rather go to Moscow, get Natasha, and then call Wynn and tell him that shit got bad.

But getting Natasha back was the priority, so finding out if there's a team in Moscow that could at least narrow down the where while they flew there is a good place to start if nothing else.

As I said, Loki has studied magic beyond the ken of most mortals - and even most Asgardians. He always did love his tricks.

[look alex wants to just hop on his back and reenact a whole new world with him without the magic carpet part or the part where aladdin and jasmine weren't trying to stop aladdin's psychopath brother from taking over russia but ... it would probably be rude with all these other ppl here he guesses.]

It's about three and a half thousand miles away. With the best will in the world I think that might be just a little out of running range.

I don't know about these people, but I'm used to great peril on the daily. And, bonus, I speak Russian.

[Alex arches an eyebrow at other Alex before turning her attention back on the Asgardian Adonis.]

Well like I said, the plane just wouldn't cut it. By the time we got there we'd be too late. We might already be too late, so how about we hurry this up and get going?

And yet I don't see any of you bothering to explain who you are. I didn't lose the decanter or one of my people but I am losing patience with the attitude I'm copping and the lot of you expecting something from me when you're giving me nothing in return.

[She takes a deep breath and lets it out, trying at least to be diplomatic as she continues. (Diplo 29)]

The only thing I care about is making sure that decanter doesn't end up in the wrong hands which actually makes me the only person here who can be objective. You all are focused on getting your friend and he's more worried about Loko whatever guy.

[ He turns his head towards Alex, a curious look on his face before stepping up close to her, in her face, maybe a bit closer than he should (intimidate 25 - even if he doesn't quite mean to be). ]

[Alex's eyes narrow into a scowl, hands curling into fists and she glares at the one trying to invade her space. (Will Save 26).]

[ thor is having avengers flashbacks and he doesn't even go here. ] If she wishes to aid in the fight to recover what Loki has stolen, I fail to see why you should deny her.
