In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

Before we split, I can make it so that we're all able to communicate with one another for about an hour or so. It's faster than a cell phone, and if we end up finding anything it'll make it that much easier to keep everyone in the loop.

It's sort of like a conference call in our heads. You won't be able read each other's minds or anything like that. [because he knows by now that is everyone's biggest hang up when it comes to psionics.] More like, whatever one of us thinks "out loud," the rest of the group will be able to hear. If something happens to one of us, the rest of us will be able to know about it without drawing any attention or having to reach for a cell phone.

[ she has more questions—can they turn it off, or do they have to wait until he does it or until it wears off? has he already been reading their minds? is it fair that lila gets to opt out just because she's in the other group when it's supposed to be meant to connect all of them together like a web?

all of them seem impossible to ask in the face of stiles' resounding agreement—they would no longer be clarifying questions, but rather nitpicky hesitation. she quiets momentarily, turning to look out the window. it's impossible not to think of peter hale and how he'd invaded her mind, but this is different: adam has clarified as much. ]

Fine. When we get to the Air Traffic Control tower, we'll do it.

But whatever, even if it's just one person on each team then it'd work. So if everyone else opted out it wouldn't even matter as long as Stiles volunteered to potentially become his butt puppet.

And since no one else is voicing their hesitation, he just assumes they're all in except for Lila. Which is a little surprising given how people are usually anti-telepathy.

It also makes Adam wonder what Lila's deal is--especially since she was at the psionics lecture, too.]

lydia steps out primly because she showed up to this mission in a minidress and high heels. at least she is stylin. she pulls her purse up onto her shoulder and glances around the parking structure to try and get her bearings, then heads off in the right direction, expecting the others to follow (nav 17). ]

[Yeah Stiles flops his gangly limbs right out of there so Adam can follow in a... much smoother fashion, probably. He watches Lydia walk off and glances from her to the rest of the group. Are they still all together at this point? Is this where they split up? Uhhhhh???]

[ lila rolls her eyes and waves jaime forward. it would be a waste of time to change and she's pretty sure he can do more damage with that armor than without. if someone needs to be knocked the fuck out, a metal elbow is going to do it. ]

You'll be fine, starshine. I've seen weirder shit on my flights. [ because he's going to the tower and not the terminal. so, reasonably, he could take his sword, but she's not going to bring it up. she gives stiles a little look before setting off after lydia, fishing her phone out of her skirt to order a cookie from sylar, too. ] You're going to need Adam to talk you into the tower, we'll split up after that. Come on.

At the very least, I've noticed that going around in my usual get-up is a good way to attract attention. If need be, I'll work wonders as a distraction.
