[ she nods toward the bench her rifle is sitting on. ] I use plastic tracers when I practice. [ therefore, she can't actually shoot him in the face rn. it would be wasteful. (actually she could and it would probably hurt like a bitch, but still. wasteful.) ]

And you couldn't get to it before I ran you through. If you held it now, I'd have little trouble getting in closer than you can shoot. [He shrugs a shoulder.] My weapons may not be the most advanced this world has to offer, but they're effective.

[ she makes a face. he's not allowing for other parameters. if they were actually fighting, abigail would have shot him already before he was close enough to reach her. that is the selling feature of a firearm, she doesn't need to be in close combat. but she's quick as a bunny and her hand darts out, the edge of her knife pressed against his adam's apple. (atk nat 20) she doesn't actually hurt him, she's just proving a point.

(don't ask her what the point is, it's probably just don't treat me like a child.)

she's not even at the right angle, far too short to effectively do as much damage as her father had done to her, but a knife through his throat would certainly shut up him. ] So are mine. [ almost immediately after the knife appears there, she drops it from his throat, arm falling back down by her side. ] I didn't say swords were ineffective, but you shouldn't discount firearms, either.

[He doesn't flinch. He's rather used to pointy weapons being near his throat. It doesn't do to do anything that might make someone accidentally cut you when they're trying not to do it purposefully.

It has the side effect of making him look rather unimpressed, which he prefers. Especially since it's such a ridiculous thing to do. Drawing a knife on a knight. She's fortunate Jaime doesn't take that knife from her and break it.]
