A several year operation investigating a Consortium known as PTC run by a mysterious man - now revealed to be a ogre - named Estavan has led to the discovery that he made a a business deal with a trio of demons. To no one's surprise, that did not end well, and Estavan has asked the Knights for help in setting things right. Estavan has asked the Knights to head to his warehouse in London and keep the creatures busy while he goes to meet with the Consortium's Ruling Council to find a way to take care of them. While Phineas, the Doctor, Val'drin, and Alec stay behind to clean things up at Estavan's home, Cordelia and Kate phone for back-up to meet them downtown at the warehouse.

They meet up in the warehouse district of the city, outside the large building.  There are several empty trucks parked out in the lot, but otherwise, no visible lights on, and only one door set in the side of it, and a few closed heavy loading doors.

[you can almost hear astrid roll her eyes. her disdain is audible. SHE AND TOPHER ARE SMART AND GOOD AT STUFF TOO OKAY.]

[Kate is also not impressed. She's seen all kinds of crazy today including being stabbed by a gargoyle so smug is not going to get Elijah far with her until she actually sees him in action.]

So here's the deal. The guy we've been investigating, Estavan? Made some deals with demons in order to further his business. He's taking care of breaking that deal, but we need to hold them off here because if they decide to come at him instead, Estavan can't do what he needs to do.

[So basically they have to hold the line for as long as it takes.]

[Topher raises his hand.] So we're holding off demons? Like full-on Evil Dead?

[killmypatience]

The words he used were "demons" and "fiends" so I'm going to go with yes.

[She's fought a lot of stuff for the Knights over the years - and for this line of missions in particular. Demons weren't part of the package before now, but she's ready for anything.]

Let's just go in, be careful, and try to hold on to the element of surprise if we can. Everyone have comms?

[bagsthem]

[Ashley isn't sure exactly what the hell they're about to be up against, but she can agree with the whole element of surprise thing.]

Yeah, ready to go. [As she pulls her pistol out of its holster to get ready to head inside.] We should try not to get too separated if we can.

And here, again, I make the Evil Dead comparison. Splitting up is a terrible idea, so no one do that. [he pulls his own gun even if he is absolutely terrible with it. he just... likes that someone finally let him have one.]

[Elijah has his gun on him but using it? nah son.] If nobody has any objections, I'll bring up the rear in case of any unwanted surprises.

[Ashley shrugs her shoulders.]

Fine by me.

[He was the one with the hella advanced senses and all. Made sense.]

You can have it. [ cordelia will take the comfortable middle, thanks. she does draw out her gun as well, though, and with that, they move to open the door, but find it locked. ] Just for once, can't evil make things a little easier on us?

[bagsthem]

I can just pop inside and unlock it from there? Might be safer than picking the lock from the outside if there's an alarm on it or something.

[A beat.]

Oh, right. I can teleport, by the way. In case you guys didn't know.

[andblockbuster]

[one day he'll get used to these things. it's not today.]

That is so cool.

[offhandedly:] It's a safer solution than ripping the door off.

[so u got elijah's vote, girl.]

Is it safe for you to drop into somewhere you've never been before?

[She's maybe watched a few too many sci-fi movies where bad things happen when you teleport blind.]

I guess she could just teleport back out if it was really bad ... maybe?

[She just nods like it ain't no thang.]

I can take one person with me too. You know, in case someone has to disable the security or hack the door or something. That's not my forte.

[EXUBERANTLY RAISES A HAND NOT HOLDING HIS GUN.] Me! That's what I'm here for. The non-violent hacking of things.

[HE JUST WANTS TO BE TELEPORTED.]

Just don't get spliced into anything, Jeff Goldblum style.

[She doesn't say anything else, just takes a step over to Topher so she can smack a hand into his shoulder, and proceeds to make them both dissolve into a lovely cloud of energy...

...and basically phases them both through the door. Let's see what we've got here.]

[ when they reappear, it's as if their stomachs drop right out from them. there is, in fact, no ground to find purchase on beyond the door, and so the moment they materialize, they begin plummeting straight down into an unimaginably vast and open white space. while from the outside, it had appeared to be a normal door set into the side of a building, from the inside, that door seems to float impossibly above them, growing ever further away by the moment as they fall. there are no visible walls, floors, or ceilings. they rush quickly past several shapes in the distance, strange floating platforms that they can't make out initially, but finally realize are pallets of crates and boxes floating throughout the expanse. other doors can be seen hanging freely at various elevations, several of which they pass close to, but not close enough to grasp.

stranger still, small blue-skinned humanoids with multiple arms work throughout the vast "warehouse", loading and unloading floating pallets with forklifts that are suspended in mid-air. none of them pay any mind to the plummeting pair. ]

[AND TOPHER SCREAMS LIKE A GIRL] Go back! Go back!

[At least Ashley's on her A game. She was expecting some fuckery, but um...

...yeah.

He doesn't need to ask twice. Her grip on his shoulder tightens as she teleports them back before they've fallen any massive distance (reflex 31).

They (hopefully) reappear back outside looking...very windblown. Also startled.]

Holy shit.

[THAT IS WHY SHE WAS WORRIED GUYS. And this is definitely Kate's worried face.]

Are you guys okay?

[Topher breathes in and out for a few seconds as his stomach settles.] There's... no... floor.

[what.] Is it just an empty space inside?

Some floating platforms. Also blue aliens.

Maybe we're just supposed to hold off whatever's coming from outside because, um....
