[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[As Des helps Buffy up, Myri stands as well and basically ignores Des' life wishes and hits him up with Cure Serious Wounds for 24 HP. Which was basically the Vi style of FUCK YOU YOURE TAKING THIS HP AND YOU'LL LIKE IT. So.. there's that. And a cure light wounds too for another 14. Which I think puts him much closer to max..?

Also just realized that I have cure critical wounds at my disposal so hi buffy, have another dose for 31 HP for you. And a second cure critical for Buffy's intense amount of hit points... so another 37 HP. And since I'm fairly certain she STILL NEEDS MORE FOR MAX JFC... a cure serious too for 27 HP.

Can we rest now, Buffy?

So to recap... that 38 HP for Des and 95 HP for Buffy holy cow.]

[ Back at 131/148 with her con damage taken into account, Buffy is looking pretty good! Still thin in the face from the toxic gas, but overall better. Her wounds have closed up.

With a grateful smile, she squeezes Myri's shoulder, leaning in to kiss her forehead. ] Thanks.

[finnick thinks of requesting healing, but myri's healing everyone earlier hadn't done much for him, so he doesn't think she can help with the ... general malaise of being poisoned that has settled over him. he'll just keep truckin'.]

[aw yeah 91/95. Des is looking much better. He rolls his eyes a bit at Myri's insistent healing, but smiles gratefully at her and ruffles her hair a bit.

once finnick speaks, he nods.] Let's go.

[and he'll start off towards the bend in the hall.]

[ turning the corner leads them a long corridor lined with cell doors. some of them are simply barred, while others are sealed with heavy doors and single slatted windows on the outside. gar slows as they approach the first set, glancing through the bars tentatively. ] There's... it looks like a body. [ or... skeleton, collapsed in the corner. a spot check of 20+ is enough to recognize something, however: the distinctive silver and blue hue, and the dragon crest emblazoned on the armor. ]

[Yeah, Spike sees it too (spot 29). He grips Myri's shoulder to steady her, then moves closer to examine it. As the resident dead guy, he supposes he's the one who should make nice with the corpses. Mostly because he wants to make sure it's not Thomas.

SO YEAH HE'S GONNA TRY AND OPEN THAT CELL DOOR.]

[ with her 21 wis check, buffy is optimistic. ]

Didn't the last dragon's claw go missing on Andres?

[ she's def wondering if this ... might be him. letting spike examine tho. ]

Sir Byron Ellison. [ gar says the name faintly, nodding as she stares. ] Almost a decade ago.

[des looks mildly unsettled.] Wait.

[he sticks his hand inside the cell and then draws back.] It's like a fridge in there. Something ain't right.

[Spike stops, looking into the cell, but he heeds Des' warning.]

...guess there's not much we can do for the poor chap now. Maybe on the way back.

We can't just- [Your resident cleric who feels things too much is gonna rush forward into the room. Oops?]

[rationalizes]

Myri, wait! [ but it's too late. the moment she steps into the room, a cold wind slams the door shut, trapping her inside. through the bars, they too can watch... as a strange wispy figure rises from the skeleton, pouring out of its mouth and taking shape, its facial features barely indistinguishable as they shift and blur beneath a hood of shadow. two flickering pinpoints of light glow where its eyes should be.

time for init~ ]

[ You do not fucking trap Myri in a room with a wraith by herself. Ever. Buffy is not having that.

Surging forward, she rips at the door with all of her strength (str 27), pulling it open (hopefully??) and if that works, she's stepping inside. She puts herself between Myri and the monster, taking a swing at it (atk 31, dmg 30). ]

[ buffy gets the door open, pulling it hard against the supernatural wind keeping it closed. but the moment she gets inside and releases it, it slams shut again.

buffy's axe actually connects with the creature, but ... appears to have no effect at all, passing through it easily. ]

[Spike grabs the door, cursing, and tries to yank it open again, but he's feeling pretty noodle armed today apparently (str 11). He curses and stares helplessly at the ghost menacing his girls. Not that he's sure he could be much help. He doubts his fists are any more useful than Buffy's spells.]

[Des swears. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE LISTEN TO HIM. SOMETIMES HE SAYS SMART THINGS. He shoves his way back to the front again.] Move!

[And he'll aim through the bars at the wraith (atk 27, dmg 13) Isn't it nice that he got that magical weapon...]

[ des' attack goes right through the bars, and right through the wraith's head - but the wraith discorporates with dat 50% miss chance even against magic weapons :') and then comes back together instantly, the bullet striking the wall behind it. wheeeeee.

his turn. it moves forward, stretching out a bony hand to grip at buffy's wrist (atk 24), but she manages to pull away just in time. it gets close enough that she can feel the hideous chill starting to creep over her skin, the ache of death that strikes her as eerily familiar. it hisses at her in a strange, wispy half-voice: ]

[MYRIIII NOOOOOO. finnick tries to take a shot at the wraith, but he also ... tries to avoid hitting buffy. so his okay shot turns into a less okay shot. (atk 18 with action point; 6 dmg if it hits)]

that shit burns it up pretty effectively. :) archer manages the first damage to the thing yaaay.

mark yanks out his gun because he's pretty sure trying to pull the door open won't go well for him. but with the -4 his attack is a laughable 11. pwing. and his next one a ... 12. aces. ]
