[Myri doesn't practice her shooting quite a lot, but she does want to make sure that she doesn't unlearn any training she had before the battle on Andres. So she tries to come down once every couple of weeks. By now she's got herself a baby bump, which is frankly just adorable and needs to be mentioned. As she heads into the range, she catches sight of the last of Des' shots.]

Room for one more?

[She says once he's finished, offering him a little smile as she steps further into the room. Is it unsafe for a pregnant woman to do this? The internet seems to think it's okay until about 5-6 months so maybe this is her last visit, just to be safe.]

[Des does this with his gun, because he's an awful show-off (dex 21).]

Always. So long as the littler bit doesn't mind the noise.

[Shaking her head and laughing at his fancy gun antics, she steps up beside him and sets her gun down so that she can prep everything before she starts to shoot.]

The doctors say it should be alright for a few more weeks. I thought I should get in a little more practice before then.

[His eyes fall on her bump for a moment before dragging back to her face and then away again.] So when we get called out again... are you gonna go?

I haven't decided. Staying behind isn't what I want at all- especially with Vi also as far along as she is. But it's not just my life I could put in jeopardy, is it?

[She rests a hand on her stomach, fingers splaying.]

I keep hoping that it might be easier to make a decision when I don't have the option to avoid it.

It probably also depends on what we're supposed to be doing, though even our 'diplomatic' missions seem to go sideways..

[Hi guys, have an Elena creeping into your conversation. She was going to shoot some guns, but lucky her she gets to hang out with you two instead.]

I'm surprised you're considering it at all, honestly.

Of course you shouldn't be coming. [Is anyone surprised Spike heard what they were talking about as he's approaching? Creepy vampire ears.] You're going to be a mum. You've got to take care of yourself.

It's Myri's decision. [Though he doesn't sound entirely convinced as he waves a hand at the group.] I'd like to think the whole lot of us can protect her if it comes down to it.

I also highly doubt Wynn would consider sending me out if he thought there was a chance I might--

[She stops suddenly, staring at Des. Closing the distance between them, she will just gently reach up and take hold of his wrist to stop his hand from waving around. She doesn't say anything but that expression of hers is waiting on an explanation, mister.]

[Considering he sent Vi into Dimitris' freaking lair, Elena's not so sure about that, but...

...topic officially derailed.

Her eyes widen before she...punches him in the shoulder lightly (str 8 no I'm not rolling to hit deal with it), giving him *a look*.]

[Spike sees the ring but he... honestly doesn't think much of it (wis 6).]

...what? We already knew he was half ponce.

[Des tries to take his hand back, but since he doesn't want to hurt Myri... he doesn't really try at all.] What? I didn't want anyone to make a big deal about it.

[By "it" he means this thing on his left ring finger.]

[Myri lets go of his wrist when he starts to pull away, but doesn't back up just yet.]

Not make a big deal? Des, this is... [A smile spreads across her face.] wonderful. When's the wedding?

Uh... [awkward... as he twists the ring around his finger.] It kinda... already happened. Zarad and I agreed that we're both not traditional enough to do the whole thing, and the only reason it even happened is because I wanted to ask, 'cause I... never asked anyone before, and it just... happened from there.

I knew it!

[As she pokes him in the side repeatedly, trying to make him squirm.]

You big ol' jerk.

...is that even legal? [Knowledge current events: 4.]

But... [Myri's smile fades as Des talks, the words sinking in as the others chime in, leaving her looking at him as if he just told her Christmas was cancelled for the rest of forever.]

You didn't want us there for it?

[ oh hey, the door swings open and it's kat and gar, mid-convo, but that shuts them up. ] There for what?

[NO NOT KAT TOO. Des was already about to sink into the floor due to Myri's Disappointment Eyes (TM), but as soon as Kat and Gar walk in, his brain flatlines.]

It's not that I didn't want anyone there. It's just... We just thought it was more efficient this way...

[as he pointedly doesn't answer kat's question.]

They eloped! [Now that Spike's apparently over the possible illegality of it, he's amused as fuck. He points at them, smirking.]

Did you go to Vegas? Was Elvis the officiant?

You got married? [ TRAITORS. TRAITORS EVERYWHERE. ]

[She'll just be over here laughing. If only she had popcorn.]

We didn't go to Vegas. Jesus. [Oh my god he hates all of you right now.] There wasn't even a real ceremony. We just decided to do it and we did it.

[Myri tries to swallow the feeling like he didn't want them there, like this is the beginning of him pulling away. It's just a big fear for her, but she has to try not to let it nag at her.]

And you're happy?

[Because above all else, that's most important to her.]

I'm certain there are... plenty of friends who would be willing to perform a ceremony for you-- [ gar's here to be the scandalized conservative view of marriage one i guess ]
