GRAMMY'S REACTION THREAD ; OTA

[This might be deja vu to some, watching the television in order to keep tabs on a mission, but it's not for Sam. Still, he has a vested interest, considering his brother's girlfriend is there, and he knows as well as anyone that this could go sideways, that shit could hit the fan, and he can't just not watch.

So, he's sitting in one of the common rooms with a pack of beers and probably his brother, eyes staring at the as the red carpet show starts.]

[Felicity swans her way in in comfy clothes and her own bowl of popcorn (she's learned to come prepared from being friends with Vi) and will just see the boy(s?) and give them a nod.]

Sup.

[And proceed to plop down on a comfortable surface somewhere nearby.]

I miss anything good?

Quiet. [ ac/dc is playing, felicity. dean is leaning forward, fully invested over here. ]

[Six pack in hand, Frankie wanders in mouthing the words to Highway to Hell and plops down in an armchair. She's a beer drinking, car loving Australian... of course she knows and loves AC/DC.

Maybe not as much as Dave Grohl who is headbanging on the screen but still.]

[Sam turns to look at Felicity with a nod before he tilts his head at the screen.]

Not too much. It's just started.

[And then the second song starts and people start pulling out devil horns...

He glances over at Dean like...of fucking course. Oh look, more beer.]

[She smirks a bit and nods to Sam in return but hey - no worries. She can appreciate a little classic rock to kick off the evening.

But she will, out of respect, keep quiet and let Dean continue his AC/DC spiritual experience in peace.

And give Frankie a small wave hello as she arrives.]

[Where the hell did Cheryl come from? Who knows, but she's carrying a banana in a Banana Bunker.]

Uggggghh... why is the sound weird?? [She's referring mostly to the echo of the phone call being timed a few seconds off from the broadcast.]

[Frankie offers a smile and nod by way of greeting to Felicity, gaze sweeping the room before she's refocused on the TV and having a sip of her beer.]

Uh... good question? [Know: ... Shit the Knights are doing of 5 says she's got no clue that there's a team there, she just came to watch the Grammys.]

[Felicity hasn't a clue what they're actually doing, she just knows that Vi is there, and it's the Grammy's so she's watching. Or, she was before she was distracted by .... ]

What the hell is that?

[She's talking to Cheryl. Because she's pretty sure that looks like something that's not for general publicness.]

[She glances to Felicity and rolls her eyes, opening it and removing the banana from it.]

Uhhh... it's a bunker for my banana. [As if it was the only possible answer.] I don't want all your grubby hands bruising my banana.

[It slips out before she can stop it, but she does manage to be aware of herself enough to keep it ... quiet at least (will save 9). She really couldn't help herself on that one.]

[Sam is either choosing not to hear the banana bunker convo or is ignoring it on purpose because ??? but ac/dc ends and they're handing out an award to Rafael.

Who is Buffy's superstar friend she was freaking out about in Chicago. Who just mentioned her live on stage. While she was there as part of a mission.]

You mean thanking somebody who isn't his fiance? Cause, yes. [Smirking as she takes a sip of her beer.

[Felicity knows what's going down - she's basically here to see how slammin' Vi looks in her Grammy's dress - but her remembering that Buffy Summers being a Knight? Yeaaaaah, that's not so much (wisdom 9).]

That's probably all marketing. Orchestrate some pre-marital shenanigans to cause a little drama and keep public interest up. I mean, come on - her name is Buffy. They either engineered her out of a socialite or made her up entirely.

Buffy is a Knight on the Talisman mission. There's an entire group of them with her right now.

[He's trying not to withhold judgement but you just insulted his bestie basically oops.]

No idea. [As the commentary becomes more interesting than the television.] I'm still trying to process the fact that we have Knights on a mission at the Grammys while I'm shipping out to the arse-end of freezing nowhere tomorrow.

[A beat as she takes another sip of her beer.]

I'm guessing they're trying to prevent another New York? [She says as they're announcing the very category that Blade is nominated in.]

[dante pops in and takes a seat with everyone else all like] Have they done country yet? I want to see Black Ted.

[ thea looks up like WTF RACISM???? ] Dante, what the fuck?

[he stares at her for a moment before he even realizes what's happening...] What? That's his name.

[Meanwhile, Sam will tack on to the whole Buffy thing.]

She and Rose are on the same mission.

[As he gestures at the screen. Clearly, Rose isn't the only reason he's watching.]

[And Felicity is just going to ... keep her mouth shut on the subject of Rose. It's for the best, because while she does feel bad for misjudging Buffy as she didn't even know the girl existed, she and Rose aren't exactly friends either.

Instead she's going to go to the neutral subject that Dante just offered. Not that she's a fan of country but she still knows who Black Ted is (pop culture 21). To Thea:]

Yeah, for country he's ... oddly endearing.
