In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

He does shoot a suspicious look at the mind reader, though. That's creepy.]

I'll go with Adam, my boyfriend is meeting us there. The jolly green giant can stand guard for you and Stiles once we get you inside. [ she's been here longest second to jaime, so she trusts him to protect the newest squires. she and adam can fend for themselves. ]

[ she's not even reacting sharply because um ?? what ?? it's not even defensive. it's just factual. stiles and boyfriend don't enter the same sphere. ]

[ lydia digs through her pink prada bag for a moment and produces a travel-sized aerosol can. ]

I have mace.

[ lila pulls a similar one from her pocket letting it dangle from her pinkie as she puts her hand back on the wheel. hers is pink as is her way to keep people from touching her shit unless she wants them to. ] Perfect. Take mine, too.

[ she will grab it and hand the pink one to stiles because she assumes he didn't pack his baseball bat in the trunk ... ]

[That... doesn't look like a mace. But Jaime got a knowledge check of 16, so at least he has figured out that they haven't actually fit a tiny mace into a can. It's a chemical that burns eyes.]

Can you use your mind powers to let me skip the metal detector? I could have brought a mace as well, but mine wouldn't have been much more convenient than the sword.

And even if I could get you around it, there's no way I could make it so that everyone in the building wouldn't see some maniac with a sword coming from a mile a way.
