[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[ silver rounds on spike, since buffy is effectively neutralized. :') you got your wish spike :D

(atk 40, dmg 26 and atk 36, dmg 30) means silver slams into him just as he watches buffy fall, not giving him a moment to really process it much. ]

[Archer always knew Silver would be the way to deal with Spike. Who could have imagined it would come so soon.]

[Archer will sigh, and dart back in. Unconscious people can't escape, and he's no good with the non-combat oriented skills. Tumble of 23 to attempt avoiding attacks of opportunity. Going to run in, snatch the downed slayer, and then use heroic surge to get more movement to drag her as close to the door as he's able.]

I said I didn't want to be carrying any goddamned bodies today. What about that are you assholes not getting?

[ well what do you know, archer actually successfully avoids getting smacked by an attack of oppt, grabs buffy, and starts back towards the doorway with her over his shoulder. gar shouts: ] Spike! Hurry! <[ and with that, she also slips inside.

for those who have made it through the doors, they'd find themselves in a surprisingly sterile looking hallway, all white floors and white walls, and bright fluorescent lighting. beside the doorway on the inside is a second panel, like the one without. ]

[Des doesn't breathe until he reaches the door, unable to look behind him, afraid that if he sees Buffy, he'll turn around and do something drastic. He skids to a stop inside the door, turning around to watch the last of the scene unfold.]

Jesus Christ. [That's all he's got. He'll manage biting wit and relief that STUPID PLAN ACTUALLY WORKED when he knows if Buffy is alive and sees that Spike gets through safely.]

[OW. Also Spike would be annoyed that Archer has finally proved to have some value to him if he weren't so relieved Buffy is out of the line of fire and somewhere they can fix her. Spike will run all out for the door now. Full withdrawal.]

[The moment that Buffy goes down, Myri promptly loses her ever loving shit. Crit failed will save stands, even if Archer saved the day to collect the body. If he doesn't get Buffy to the door, Myri's going to run to meet them so she can pour her magic into her fallen friend as quickly as possible. (cure serious wounds, 27 HP).]

Buffy, please. [She whispers, tears in her eyes.] Please don't leave me.

Let's get these doors closed! [ mark frantically searches around for a way to do just that, but...

as soon as spike runs through the doors, the two golems suddenly stand up stiff and straight and stop in their tracks, before very calmly returning to their places at the door as if nothing happened. ]

[finnick watches all these events unfold like werwatey????

buffy almost dying??? werwatey. archer being heroic??? werwatey. the golems apparently running on fucking motion sensors??? werwatey.]

They must only sense motion directly in front of them. [/aggressively makes shit up]

[ Myri's spell has Buffy sputtering back to life—literally. Sitting forward, she coughs blood up, chest heaving with each hack. Her hand curls, grabbing a fistful of Myri's shirt to hold onto her as she comes to—just in time to hear Finnick's color commentary. Groggy, exhausted, and grimacing at the metallic taste in her mouth, Buffy turns her gaze on him. ]

See that? That's the kind of thing I would have liked to know like five minutes earlier.

[ Moving her hand to rest over Myri's, she squeezes it reassuringly. It's ok, boo: Buffy's here. ]

[Des slumps against the wall, looking between Buffy and Myri (and Archer because wtf, did he just become 10% more of a person in his eyes today??), clearly relieved, and lets out a tired breath that turns into a laugh.]

I can't believe that fucking worked. Goddamn.

[He doesn't even know where to start with all of that. He feels actual gratitude for Archer, relief that Buffy's alive, proud of Myri for keeping her cool, and... Okay, maybe he's very impressed with himself for using his head. Hell, everyone, really.

Great teamwork, guys, basically.

[Myri lets out a long sigh of relief as Buffy comes to, whispering a quick prayer of thanks to the Stargods and trying to blink back the rest of her tears.]

You're still hurt...

[Buffy you have too much HP. She can't give it all back to you. But maybe some more?? Since you get in the middle of shit a lot?? So have another Cure Moderate for 17 HP. Go get 'em tiger.]

[Spike is breathing hard even though he really doesn't have to and staring over at Buffy who was just PRACTICALLY DEAD. The little squish he got at the end doesn't seem to matter to him much next to that. He gives Archer a look that isn't filled with loathing and scorn for once, though that's about as close as he can get to gratitude at the moment.

He crouches next to Buffy and Myri, still looking worried. He gives Myri another worried look, but she doesn't seem to be throwing her entire life into healing Buffy, so he won't complain. And Buffy's okay. For now. He gives Buffy a slight smile, then looks up at Dr. Myri to make the hard medical calls.]

Reckon we need to call Solace or something? Course, anyone he sends'd have to get by the evil statues...

No. It's too dangerous. If I conserve my magic for strictly healing, we should be alright. Vi also gave me some roses that can do a little healing. Her way of helping us even if she can't be here.

[Myri opens her bag and lets Spike and Buffy (and anyone else who is peeping I guess) see the roses in her bag. I forget how many Emma said she made. I'm sure she's stalking and will text me later...]

[Des moves off the wall and squeezes Myri's shoulder. Now that he's had time to breathe and relax a bit, he can actually express all these emotions he's feeling.] She's right. We're gonna have to keep moving.

[He offers Buffy his other hand so she can stand up.] And how about you not scare us anymore for one night, Blondie?

[slay]

Yeah. Right. So you're gonna be the distraction next time?

[ Reaching out, she slaps her hand into his and pulls herself to her feet. ]

Besides. Maybe those are the last big nasties we'll run into. I mean, how many tiers of ugly can Sarandis really have?

[rationalizes]

Oh thank God, Buffy... [ relief puts some color back into gar's cheeks as she expels the breath she was holding, before casting her gaze up the hallway. there are no doors here, but at the end it turns to the left. ] I can't imagine he expected many to get this far.

Dimitris didn't get this far by underestimating people. If we can heal people up now, maybe we should.

[des gives buffy's hand a squeeze before he lets go of it and focuses his attention on the hall.]

I'm fine. [said the guy with a chunk of his hp missing. he's pretty bruised up. and not healing is a bitch.]

[witchwoman]

[As Des helps Buffy up, Myri stands as well and basically ignores Des' life wishes and hits him up with Cure Serious Wounds for 24 HP. Which was basically the Vi style of FUCK YOU YOURE TAKING THIS HP AND YOU'LL LIKE IT. So.. there's that. And a cure light wounds too for another 14. Which I think puts him much closer to max..?

Also just realized that I have cure critical wounds at my disposal so hi buffy, have another dose for 31 HP for you. And a second cure critical for Buffy's intense amount of hit points... so another 37 HP. And since I'm fairly certain she STILL NEEDS MORE FOR MAX JFC... a cure serious too for 27 HP.

Can we rest now, Buffy?

So to recap... that 38 HP for Des and 95 HP for Buffy holy cow.]

[ Back at 131/148 with her con damage taken into account, Buffy is looking pretty good! Still thin in the face from the toxic gas, but overall better. Her wounds have closed up.

With a grateful smile, she squeezes Myri's shoulder, leaning in to kiss her forehead. ] Thanks.

[finnick thinks of requesting healing, but myri's healing everyone earlier hadn't done much for him, so he doesn't think she can help with the ... general malaise of being poisoned that has settled over him. he'll just keep truckin'.]

Are we ready, then?

[aw yeah 91/95. Des is looking much better. He rolls his eyes a bit at Myri's insistent healing, but smiles gratefully at her and ruffles her hair a bit.

once finnick speaks, he nods.] Let's go.

[and he'll start off towards the bend in the hall.]

[ turning the corner leads them a long corridor lined with cell doors. some of them are simply barred, while others are sealed with heavy doors and single slatted windows on the outside. gar slows as they approach the first set, glancing through the bars tentatively. ] There's... it looks like a body. [ or... skeleton, collapsed in the corner. a spot check of 20+ is enough to recognize something, however: the distinctive silver and blue hue, and the dragon crest emblazoned on the armor. ]
