People are always going to judge things based on what they can see. It's dumb, but it's human nature. I wouldn't let them bother you unless you intend on shoving your birth certificate into all of their faces to prove you're an acceptable age to be having a child.

Well, that would only work if I had a birth certificate. Alas, gods probably don't do that. What with the birth being all mystical and not in a hospital. [ a beat. ] I wonder how that actually works?

[She frowns for a moment as she makes a face, because Greek gods she apparently knows some stuff about (knowledge mythology 15).]

No! No, I mean... shit, she might have? It doesn't feel like she did, but who the fuck knows. Bitches be cray cray. I'm pretty sure she gave birth to me though, like in a meadow, in a shower of glowing lights and rose petals, it was very gay, it might explain a few things about me.

I think that does. Not bad things, mind you, but certainly things.

Everyone keeps telling me that I'm going to give birth normally and I just feel like something is missing and I think it's the gayness. I need more gay.

I'm sure that could be arranged.

Mmm, see, with Lance I might be able to survive. Lance and drugs and a bucket of glitter. We'll need to buy some glitter.

I will buy it in bulk. Do you want a variety of colors?

Yes, please. I feel like a rainbow of glitter colors would make it super ultra gay.

I do feel like this child should be extra appreciative of my sacrifices for her. A year is so long. Hell, nine months is fucking long.

You may be waiting a long time for that - possibly until she's carrying a partial-elf baby of her own.

Ugh, nope. I'm gonna remind her of this forever. I will get the best Mother's Day cards.

I will never understand that. Mostly because I assume growing flowers is hard work.

Well, I mean, no, it's easy. I can do it without really thinking about it. It might be hard for other people though?

I really don't know how that kind of magic works. I'd probably have to ask Gus.
