[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Well, I know that I am one, for one thing.

Mmm, and what can you do, Mr Psion?

[he rolls his eyes at "mr psion".] It's Alex. And I can heal or inflict damage on someone just by touching them.

Amelia. [ err. ] Amy. Psions are born, right? You don't study up on it.

[ambitionist]

Yeah. It's not like magic and shit. You're just sort of born into it. For better or for worse.

What's that mean?

For better or worse? [ she glances down at her book like i haven't read anything about worse. ]

[ambitionist]

[he sighs a little.] It's kind of self-explanatory, isn't it? People generally aren't fuckin' thrilled about psions. It's not as bad as Shadowkind, usually, since there's a better chance you're gonna be passing, but if it gets out to the wrong people at the wrong place, wrong time, whatever, you're fucked.

That's bollocks. That could be said for anything that can be used as a weapon. [ PSION RIGHTS! WHEN DO WE WANT 'EM! idk probably soon but i haven't thought of a timeline... ]

[ambitionist]

People don't like what they can't understand. Most psions have varied skill sets, so you can't tell what someone's capable of just by looking at them. And they really don't like that.

[keptbiting]

[ grumbles bitterly about racism and prejudice and discrimination. she has a lot of feels about it. ] You cannae tell what anyone's capable of. I am capable of loads of stuff. Putting that squarely on psions is ...horrid.

[ambitionist]

[he shrugs like yeah well that's life.] Tell me about it.

We met a little girl on my last mission, tiny thing, not even a teenager. Powers runnin' amok. I just wanted to know a bit more about them. We don't have stuff like that where I'm from. [ a beat. ] Just aliens.

[ambitionist]

[he frowns, becoming a bit less blase.] What kind of powers— wait, aliens?

[keptbiting]

Yeah, they're not important. She was makin' monsters with her imagination.

[ambitionist]

Like ... bringing them to life?

[keptbiting]

Seems like. [ YUP. ]

Well, shit.

[ she shrugs, abruptly deciding she doesn't want to talk about it, and returns to the topic of aliens. ]

So my bedroom when I was a kid had this crack in the wall. Apparently it was a crack in the fabric time and space and there was an alien prison on the other side.

[ambitionist]

[i mean ...he's ok with it. especially bcuz] What?

Yeah. One of them escaped through my bedroom and hid in my house for like, ten years. Proper alien just having a secret holiday in my house.
