In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[WOW REALLY, BITCH? But I guess he can't really fucking complain since they're letting him tag along at all. So Adam squeezes in the middle seat but he ain't all that thrilled about it (at least this shit is roomy?) and--wow, really? A fucking greatsword tho?]

Are we going to look for them at the renaissance fair or something? [Deadpan as fuck. That's what we in the modern world refer to as throwing shade, Jaime.]

They're doppelgangers. They change shape at will, they could steal someone else's identity at the airport. They'll take tickets from whoever they can.

[ she looks at stiles as they climb into the middle seats. ]

We might be able to cause Air Traffic Control enough trouble to temporarily ground the flights, or at least delay them.

Bomb threat. [ peeling out of the garage now, hope y'all are buckled up. with a drive check of 20 total, she has got this driving thing covered. ] They ground flights but won't let anyone off the planes. It could buy us a little time.

[Jaime's wis check of 5 means he sure didn't buckle up but he's used to horses and carriages and shit. He's just holding onto the oh jesus handle and the seat in front of him. This conversation has... definitely passed anything he vaguely comprehends so he just sits and thinks about stabbing people.]

If they can look like anyone they want, does it even really matter? [This whole thing seemed pretty stupid, to be honest. They could be enjoying a fucking latte down the street and no one would notice. It's not like Elena and Kyp were hard pressed to flee the country before someone ID'd them or anything.

But I guess they had to start somewhere, so the airport was probably as good a place as any.]

Bomb threat. Yeah. Here- old guy. Make yourself useful. [That search check will at least get him the contact number for the fucking airport. Stiles punches it in his phone (and will deal with the consequences later of using HIS phone for this shit idk) and hands it to Jaime.]

Just sound mean and tell them you're going to blow the place to kingdom come.

If there's a bomb threat, they'll shut the whole airport down. None of us will be able to get inside to find her, either. We either need to get into their computer systems, or someone needs to get into the Air Traffic Control tower to do it manually.

I'm still not entirely sure what a bomb is or what's so threatening about them...

You can only get into Air Traffic Control systems from inside Air Traffic Control. I meant wait until we were there, we're twenty minutes out. [ lila has driven to the airport so many times by now she knows the route by heart. ]

No. [Which was weird enough in and of itself, but.] I've been cat-sitting for someone else in their group, and I haven't been able to reach him either.

If you can get them to let us inside, Stiles and I should be able to register the flights as delayed for weather or whatever else. Then we can check the airport security footage for Sir Gilbert.

Chances are, one of them will have changed while there to find a ticket they can take. We just need to catch it.

But if the flights are going to be grounded, then we'll probably be combing the terminals anyway.
