Okay, asshole. They start you off slow so you don't have an asthma attack and collapse in the middle of your run.

[ okay, whatever. she shakes her head and backs up. trying to help is a waste of time, so she's just going to finish her run. and probably lap him again. fuck him, he can get caught by whatever is chasing him. ]

[he decides to keep running out of bitterness and spite and his dex check was 4, so it's going about as well as you can imagine.]

[ yeah, she's definitely going to lap him. (dex 22) it's so rude and bitter of her, but whatever. she's rude and bitter. when she passes again, she pauses. ]

You can train with me. [ she tucks some stray hair behind her ear. ] To up your endurance.

[he's like HNNNN I DON'T LIKE BEING BAD AT THINGS but then he's like hnnnn maybe my squire would actually stop ignoring me all the time so ... the second thing wins.] Okay.

[ her eyebrows lift slightly in surprise, she was expecting him to say no. ]

Meet me in the pool in twenty minutes. Bring your own water bottle this time.

[it was a really hard decision ok!!! he almost said no. but then he didn't.] Yeah, okay. Whatever.

[and on that charming note ... he'll actually be at the pool in 20 minutes. with his own water bottle. it's a miracle. of course he expects to be like going swimming or some shit so he's just in his swim trunks being all sexy and whatnot.]

[ she runs in a couple minutes later. she realized belated that her bathing suit was in the laundry and had to go hunt it down. but yeah, that is what she was planning. ]

Hey. [ she pushes her hair back and drops her towel and water bottle on a nearby chair, tugging her shorts off and not looking at alex because she is not immune to how fucking attractive he is jfc. ] Swimming is better for building up endurance because it's low impact, so it won't hurt your joints but it's still really good cardio.

I think you just wanted to see me mostly naked.

Admittedly a bonus. Now get in the pool.

[he slides in off the ledge where he was sitting into the pool.] Like what you see? [still acts like a flirty dick even tho he has no interest in her. he only has like two modes of communicating with people: flirtychan and megadick. everything else is too hard :'( ]

I'm not blind. [ she walks to sit on the far edge of the pool, dangling her legs in the water. ] Three laps. I'll time you.

[his swim check was actually a 20 total???!! so he does three laps in a time that is good and acceptable and not pathetic.] How was that?

[ she looks down at him and actually looks a little impressed, holding out the water bottle. ]

Better than your running. It was really good.

Yeah? I guess swimming is more about strength than speed. You know, pushing yourself through the water.
