[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[Since that fucker is RIGHT IN DES'S FACE, Des is gonna take a five foot step backwards. The first shot... probably misses (atk 19, but on the offchance it didn't, it's 9dmg), but his second shot lands true (atk 27, dmg 9... again).]

Myri has no idea what's going on. Her magic seemed to have failed and then he was completely fine??? Delayed magic???]

[ thiS FUCKING GUY. Buffy cleaves straight through red—or, rather, attempts to—by bringing her waraxe down in a heavy swing with both hands, slashing it through the tangle of vines (attack 33, attack 30, attack 24; damage 26, 24, 26 respectively). When the plant withers and dies under the horror of her series of blows, her axe pulls straight on through the severed limp body of plant red and buries into plante purple—attack 36, dmg 26. ]

[ even though i already mentioned gar freaking out and running this is actually when it probably should have happened but w/e. THAT WAS HER TURN. SHE DID THAT THING.

the blue plant lashes out at spike, missing, (atk 26), and black goes for finnick (atk 27, 11 dmg plus a fort save here too \o/

pink squeezes up there behind black to go for spike too, he just looks tasty idk (atk 25, that would have been so much dmg dammit) ]

[These motherfucking plants... Spike punches blue pretty hard (atk 27, dmg 12, atk 29, dmg 10). His punch is so badass he swings right on through blue's head and into pink since that asshole had attacked him albeit ineffectively (atk 20, dmg 11 if it hits).]

[ recovered, and casting a freaked out glance back at gar, mark sets his teeth in a scowl and raises a gun, firing across at pink (naaaaaaaaaat 20 and 19 but he'll take the -4 since he doesn't have precise shot, which makes it a miss. but holy penetration damage batman. o__o a grand total of... 42. pink explodes with a sickening squelch sound, enjoy that spike.

[OKAY PURPLE. YOU'RE ASKING FOR IT.

Des takes a step back as he doadges Purple's slam, apparently because he still has tentacle rape trauma and doesn't want to do that again. He takes a moment to flip the switch on his gun, which would normally take the whole round, because it's archaic garbage, BUT WAIT.

Thanks to heroic surge, he raises that son of a bitch up and pop purple in his planty face (atk 26, dmg 16)]

[There's a lot going on, bullets flying, axes and tridents and fists...and a partridge in a pear tree.

Anyway.

In all the chaos, it might be easy to miss Myri, who falls to her knees where she stands, hands flying to her throat, dragging her fingers roughly like she's clawing at her own skin. Her mouth hangs open, eyes flashing wide as she tries desperately to pull a breath in and finds she simply can't.

She struggles for several seconds, mouth opening and closing as sh tries in vain to fill her lungs with air she desperately needs. After a few moments of struggle, she gasps a full breath in. The relief is incredibly short lived as the next sound that comes from her is a shrill scream as she stares in horror at her own hands.

So that's a thing.]

[ mark watches her in confusion for a moment, before he abruptly looks surprised and looks down as his legs seem to give out from under him. he falls flat against the ground, and starts flailing his limbs wildly as if he's... trying to swim or something, struggling against invisible forces. ] Hey! Whoa! A little help here?!

[Des barely has time to look satisfied with his kill before he glances down at the blood and plant gore dripping off of him and looks completely horrified. He drops his gun and pitches forward onto his knees as if his legs have given off and lets out an agonized, strangled yell, drawing himself into a fetal ball bit by bit as if he's trying to make himself seem smaller.]

[wtf you psychopaths. finnick is just going to ... run to check on myri first. because he's not engaged to mark or des. sorry boys.] Myri!!

[ Finnick's shout is what really catches her attention. She's too used to Des being a drama queen 24/7 to really give him a second thought until Finnick is panicking over Myri. Whipping her head back, she watches the scene unfold, and realizes the same is happening to Des. She drops her axe, crouching beside him. ]

[rationalizes]

[ gar, recovering herself, moves to help Mark just as the effects wear off ] It's... it's alright. None of it is real.

What isn't real? [Says Mr. Nat 20 fort save when all he needed was not to crit fail. Thanks, dice.

Spike splashes across the river to go towards Des and Myri, and stands between them all, looking vaguely worried, but there are people fretting over both of them, so.

He looks over to Gar.]

What's happening?

[Des takes a long, shuddering breath and peels his hands away from his face and uncurl himself once he realizes he's... not actually in any dire trouble.]

Fucking plant monsters. Fucking hallucinations. [He wheezes. His shoulders shake in a full body shudder and he raises a hand to his hair and makes a face when it comes back smeared in plant gore.]

I'm okay, Blondie. [He reaches up to pat her reassuringly on the shoulder... which means she now has more plant gore on her. It's revenge for splattering him with your cleave attack, okay.

He picks up his discarded gun and stands up.]

[ For another moment, her gaze needles him, trying to figure out precisely what he'd been seeing. Deciding that, for now, it doesn't matter, she simply nods and looks behind them. ]

Everyone okay?

[ And then up ahead, further into the tunnel. ]

We should keep going.

[witchwoman]

[Myri's panic subsides as the last of the hallucinations fade, leaving her with tear stained cheeks and a lot of confusion. She looks to Finnick.]

I thought... I mean, my skin was...

[Melting. She thought she was melting. This is really fucked up.]

You're fine now. Your skin is fine. None of it was real. [he puts his trident back on his shoulder strap so he can keep an arm around her.] Buffy's right, we need to keep going.

[Taking another shaky breath, she nods.]

Of course. Is... is everyone alright?

[When she's this freaked out, she can't really sense if anyone is seriously injured. I don't even remember if anyone was actually hit by these things but... speak now or forever hold your current hp.]

They didn't hit me. [Des steps over the plant carcass carefully.]

Except for the melting hallucination whammy... [He gives Myri a sympathetic look. THAT WAS FUCKED UP, LITTLE BIT. HE FEELS YOU.]
