[ It seems that Wynn was hoping for Sir Mark Sandazhard to reveal his true identity, and to lead the charge against Dimitris Sarandis' tyrannical hold over the island he was born to rule.   He was not disappointed, and Prince Marcus Andres stands poised to lead the group of Knights who he's worked beside for two years, to confront Sarandis, save their friend Kat, and search the castle dungeon for the captive Dragon's Claw, Sir Thomas Bancroft.    

Before they attempt to answer the castle, however, it's time to reunite the Prince with his childhood friends on the Isle, who had long held out hope that he was still alive, including his once-betrothed, Countess Lara Tamon.  Their first task will be to convince Lara to make a risky attempt to draw Kat out of the castle.  

The fate of their captured allies, and the future of Andres Isle, lie in their hands.  ]

[ erryone but finnick hears a trickle of water up ahead where it runs down the walls... and as they emerge into a section of the tunnel flanked by six bizarre plants, inverted bell-shaped caps with long green tendrils hanging off the side, perched on four spidery stalks, they also hear a strange hissing noise coming off from the plants??? it sounds almost like air being let out of a tire very quietly.

time to make fortitude saves... ]

[ fort save 34. buffy moves up towards the plants, brow furrowing as she tries to identify the sound. ]

What— ...? [ Air ?? ?? Werwatey?? ]

[I don't know if that can be pluralized, but Des pluralized it because he's a hick. He looks at Gar, like "girl you can elaborate."]

[ apparently this trap was specifically dna coded to mark b/c dimitris didn't want that bitch coming back. because he's the only one who fails, and behind them, he raises one hand to his throat, and starts making gasping, strangled noises, as if he's suffocating.

one of the plants begins to rustle, and then slowly rises up on those spindly legs, moving forward towards spike. it lashes out with a tendril (atk 22, dmg 13. FORT SAVE SPIKE. )]

This whole plan goes south if the future king of Andres keels over.

[Des levels his gun at one of the plants (green) and fires off one shot (atk 25, dmg 23 holy penetration damage batman) and then follows it up with another shot at the same one, JUST TO MAKE SURE (atk 36, dmg 20 and penetration on that one too jfc).]

Mark! [Her once and future king! Sry Arthur. Myri moves to bolt for him. Sloshing through the water, she doesn't give a single fuck about getting wet. Once she reaches him, she casts Neutralize Poison which a will save negates but I would hope Mark wouldn't fight it???]

[ Buffy whips her head around to glance at Mark, but seeing Myri moving for him, she instead focuses her attention on the plants presumably causing his condition. She surges forward for the green plant, taking a 5-ft step in and taking her full attack, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks on the monster foliage (atk 31, atk 31, atk 18; dmg 15, 16, 16 respectively). ]

What—[ She asks Des between blows— ] The heck— [ again ]— Is a basidirond?

[rationalizes]

[ buffy manages to beat the monster to a green mushy pulp, as gar pulls up her gun and stammers: ] That sound... it must have already released its spores! They... they cause you to hallucinate so that they can infect you with their secondary spores. Powerfully diseased. Don't let them touch you! [ and she will take off a single shot (atk 24, dmg 5) at red.

blue smacks at spike again for a 28 slam, 9 dmg and a second fort save... black sets its sights on finnick, shambling forward to strike at him with an 18, 11 dmg + a fort save please.

pink moves closer, and then there's that weird ass hissing noise again. spike, archer, and finnick all get to make ... more fort saves. THREE FOR SPIKE YEP.

meanwhile mark looks at myri helplessly, and still looks like he can't air :( ]

We're fighting bloody Audrey II! And 3-6! [Fort saves 29, 33, and 26, and assuming none of those are too low, he's going to beat the crap out of blue (atk 26, atk 27, dmg 13, dmg 25 fyeah double fist penetration if those both hit.)]

How do we kill it? Besides not letting it touch you because it's a little too late!

[The good news is dmg reduction means he's really doing ok.....]

That may not be an option. [FUCK YOU DEMON PLANT. finnick grabs his trident and unleashes holy hell on black. (atk NAT 20 with an action pt fuck yes crit; 26 dmg)]

[Archer sighs resignedly, and pulls his shotgun out. Fort save 20]

Shouldn't we get somebody like, Hispanic or whatever, to do this?

[Archer double taps the Black with his shotgun since it's close, rapid reloads, and uses Heroic surge to double tap it again. KABOOM BLAM BOOM!]
[Atk one: 16, Atk two 18 (Rolled a damn 11 and 9...) If those hit: Damage one: 16 Damage two: 24]

[ because archer cares deeply about getting promoted his mentor, he takes the -4 to not hit him by accident and... therefore hits nothing. woo! spike, however, gets some good blows in, and finnick fucks that plant up nicely so it isn't lookin hella hot.

red and purple advance on buffy and des, red tossing an apathetic tendril buffy's way (atk 12 wtf) and purple one at des (atk 16 ihu plants).

the hissing sound continues... and despite her warning five seconds ago, gar still freaks the hell out abruptly, dropping her gun and running from it with a shriek of "Viper!"

mark, however, seems to recover, looking down at himself in confusion, and then at myri. wtf. ]

[Since that fucker is RIGHT IN DES'S FACE, Des is gonna take a five foot step backwards. The first shot... probably misses (atk 19, but on the offchance it didn't, it's 9dmg), but his second shot lands true (atk 27, dmg 9... again).]

Gar! [won't someone think of the poor npcs...]

Myri has no idea what's going on. Her magic seemed to have failed and then he was completely fine??? Delayed magic???]

[ thiS FUCKING GUY. Buffy cleaves straight through red—or, rather, attempts to—by bringing her waraxe down in a heavy swing with both hands, slashing it through the tangle of vines (attack 33, attack 30, attack 24; damage 26, 24, 26 respectively). When the plant withers and dies under the horror of her series of blows, her axe pulls straight on through the severed limp body of plant red and buries into plante purple—attack 36, dmg 26. ]

[ even though i already mentioned gar freaking out and running this is actually when it probably should have happened but w/e. THAT WAS HER TURN. SHE DID THAT THING.

the blue plant lashes out at spike, missing, (atk 26), and black goes for finnick (atk 27, 11 dmg plus a fort save here too \o/

pink squeezes up there behind black to go for spike too, he just looks tasty idk (atk 25, that would have been so much dmg dammit) ]

[These motherfucking plants... Spike punches blue pretty hard (atk 27, dmg 12, atk 29, dmg 10). His punch is so badass he swings right on through blue's head and into pink since that asshole had attacked him albeit ineffectively (atk 20, dmg 11 if it hits).]
