In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[ it's rare to really see wynn very angry, but anyone who runs across him after he receives his phone call from rose and speaks with edain and adam gatewood will get a real glimpse of it. his shoulders are tense, his gait determined and quick as he strides down the hallway, giving orders to all those knights who he comes across. jack walks briskly at his side, along with lis'sa and dovan. ]

I want every available Knight to grab a vehicle and comb the roads. Head to London, stake the airport. They're able to change what they look like - they could be anywhere. Sir Trinall, get the Hoard to run a trace on Sir Gilbert's phone immediately. Sir Ironsides, get your trackers on locating that car.

[ word will spread like wildfire through the castle, so feel free to either tag running across wynn and all this, or making threads with other characters to leap into action. ]

[ francesca is one of the first to gather a team, as this is of great importance to her, both personally and professionally. she's basically just looking for volunteers, but familiar faces are even better. she's aware time is of the essence, so once she gathers up han, helen, and alanna, she steers them toward the garage, grabbing the keys to an SUV type vehicle on the way.

her heels click against the cement as she leads the group outside, pulling her sunglasses down over her eyes (night or day, it'd be the same). she's planning on driving, unless someone argues otherwise. ] Now would be a good time to start brainstorming where we should look first.

I only spoke to the creature once. I can't say I'm well-versed in its motives, but it did work with our enemies once before, did it not?

[ alanna is charging after, fastening a short sword around her hip. ]

Perhaps an answer can be found in that.

[Helen is worried sick, to be completely honest. While she's heard the whispers that Elena was the one who set Kyp free, she's struggling to believe it. It's entirely possible that the girl had fooled her in their meetings, but Helen's gut tells her that Elena must have had a reason- or worse, she might have been coerced in some way.]

Unfortunately, the few times I've spoken with her, she never gave me much indication of places she might frequent.

[People don't really advertise the local venues for doppelgangers anonymous. She glances at Alanna.]

You may be right. We may have more luck trying to obtain information from less seemly sources.

They'll probably be trying to leave the pl--country. Least til the heat dies down. [A beat.] Then again, they can look like anybody. Maybe they won't bother.

[Han wants to drive, but he's not bothering to say anything about it for now. He's busy trying to strategize.]

[Hook and Thoster are drinking when they get the call. Unfortunately, as neither of them can drive and their boats won't be all that useful for searching the city, they need to find a driver. They find two, both of whom have beautiful flowing hair, grab some keys that Dimitri and Leia can fight over, then start down to the garage.]

Don't suppose there are any identifiers on them? Not so much as strange eyes or a distinct odor?

[Dimitri shakes his head. And he'll take those keys tyvm. Leia can bitch him out if she wants to.]

No, I encountered them as they were...escaping. The one from the dungeons had taken form of my girlfriend.

Needless to say, the disguise was perfect.

I've only spoken to her briefly here and there. She is, however, Rose's best friend in London.

[Rose would be said girlfriend.]

Unfortunately, she's in New York City at the moment, having her own difficulties.

[how do you profile someone with no identity? who can be anyone, anyone at all? that's what will graham is currently attempting to find out. bizarro cases like this attract him. also he feels like he'd be more use here than roaming the countryside trying to find someone with the distinct ability to not be found if they so choose. he would've tried talking to anyone available for talking (including wynn) about kyp, and their impressions of him. (gather info 23) currently, he's in the dungeon, and probably has abigail standing guard outside the entrance so he can do his thing ~without interruption.~ so to talk to him … you would have to go through her. he's sitting in kyp's cell with a creepy, spaced out expression while he goes over ideas in his head. (investigate 26) and i include gather info and investigate specifically bc they are for his profile talent in his profiler class (hover for deets.)]

[ abigail hasn't done much to hide the fact that she's thoroughly interested in doppelgängers. it's a childish fascination though, like wanting to be a mermaid after seeing ariel for the first time. but safety...

anyway, she will bossily keep anyone from will until he's done being creepy, glancing over her shoulder every so often to watch him. ]

[ basically everyone who talked to kyp while he was down in the dungeon relates the same sort of thing - he seemed utterly unconcerned about his fate, was pretty cavalier about what he'd done, and didn't expect the Knights would torture him because they were too honorable, but did think he was likely to get executed. he showed no remorse for his crimes, and seemed to think of himself as better than non-doppelgangers, that what he'd done was natural for his people, including the deception necessary. the picture will got was of a textbook narcissist, and a very alien sort of psychology, unfortunately. wynn would have also mentioned that he believed elena felt a great deal of sympathy for him, despite 'what he had done to her', which seemed a pointed thing to say.

kyp's cell is pretty bare, although it shows evidence of a more troubled mind than what he's heard about. kyp has paced the cell for days, and sometimes anxiously scratched away at paint on the walls.

there's no sign of struggle at all down here, nor has the lock been forced. it doesn't seem like anyone's even remotely tried to pick it. he doesn't develop a profile of a guy who has tried to escape whatsoever, as if it were almost a surprise to him. ]

[after awhile, will gets out of the cell and goes to join abigail at the door. and ... bounces his thoughts off her, since it's not like he has any qualified professionals to talk to anymore. just a teenage girl. it's like inspector gadget. ok maybe not inspector gadget, that guy couldn't solve shit. maybe veronica mars.]

He wasn't trying to escape. [he's not sure of very much right now — his head is still reeling — but he's sure of that.]

[ lila has the keys, but she grew up in new york, if you want an aggressive driver, she is the one you want. she's waiting impatiently by the car for stiles and lydia and whomever they fucking picked up on the way to get their asses to the garage. she's also texting sylar, no one is surprised.

she doesn't really want to look for elena. people looked at her like she was a monster, if she wanted to run away with he only other one around... why the hell wouldn't she? but wynn said go get her and lila is going to listen. which is why she is standing next to the car, chain smoking in agitation and speed texting her frustration. ]

Helen said she's checking out the hotel for the convention with some others. [ lydia pockets her cell phone as she approaches. ] We should try the airport. They both must have realized we'd catch on, the chances they stayed in the city are slim.

But while we're at it, does anyone want to tell me why we're so interested in hunting someone down who willingly defected? I'm just saying this feels a lot like a rescue mission for someone who doesn't want to be rescued.

[Stiles found Lydia. And a laptop! Because I said so and because he has tiny baby ranks in computer use and it's time to use them. Maybe.

As he approaches the car, he knows better than to think that he can get shotgun. Ladies are riding up front, obviously. So he just heads for the door behind the passenger side.]

Maybe the big guy knows more than we do. Or maybe he wants to serve some kind of knightly justice.

It's no rescue mission. We're hunting down fugitives. [Jaime has his huge-ass sword and probably won't hesitate to use it. He's also clanking while he walks. Clank clank clank. He had just... headed to the garage hoping he can get a ride don't mind him tagging along.] She's got secrets and unimaginable powers. Hardly one we can afford to let walk away.

[Andrew wanted to stay at the castle, but he's going to get out in the field and try to clear the Gatewood name. He sort of feels bad that his brother was on duty and got mixed up in all this so he's going to do his part to resolve it.

Sometimes he gets to be a good big brother.]

You got the keys, babe? [Yeah, he got his girlfriend. Ella is keeping tabs on Adam tonight and watching his computer in his room in case he needs assistance from home base. They've picked up a few friends along the way- Brantley and Aedan, namely.]

[Girl is on a mission. Having to spring into action like this gets her heart going, because she's not one that likes to sit around constantly and watch the grass grow.

True, she'd rather she didn't have to hunt down one of their own, but it's not the first time someone went rogue on an organization.

[Aedan doesn't know anyone involved in this mess but he's pretty used to being clueless anymore, so when he's asked to team up he doesn't hesitate. He'll be taking one of the back seats, since he's obviously not driving and the lovebirds are likely to take the front two seats.]

[Normally, Brantley has the answer to this one since predicting what escapees do was the thing he studied in college. But, unlike normal criminals, those two can shapeshift, and he didn't learn how to catch shapeshifter in college.] They should be looking for a safe place to wait for a chance to get out of the country.
